I agree that the thread has been stretched out way too far. If the thread was locked I could just post the video in the AB section when it is done...

People asked for a movie so I decided to make one. I'm not asking for praise, I'm not asking for a medal, I'm just asking for a bit of patience. If people think the thread is dragging out as a result of the movie not being finished yet, I object to that. Who posts, how many people post, the (lack of) patience of some people who post, and what gets posted in this thread are beyond my control.

This movie is jack shit like the documentaries. Those were just still images with a little bit of animation. The movie is entirely animated. On top of that, there will be an original soundtrack and audio dialogue, and the vast majority of artwork is original.

This isn't something I can just slap together in a couple of hours - this shit takes ages... especially with one person doing 95% of all the work. Add a full-time job, a social life, other creative projects and EQ2 into the equation and you'll have a good idea of the small amount of time I get to work in. You might ask "Why are you making the movie if it takes up so much of what little free time you have?" - well, it's a challenge and I want to finish it.

I'm willing to wait for a well-done finished product. This thread has been epic lulz.

We aren't going to yawn at the movie, it will bring it all back once we see it, IMO. It will be timely no matter when. We have pull macros ("For Land and Castle!!") that refer to this. It's lore!

Creativity cannot be rushed. But that said, I agree, maybe lock the thread till such time as the movie is ready.

SANGRA'S BAD REPUTATION MAY HAVE CAUSED SOMEONE ELSE NAMED SANGRA TO PAY REAL MONEY TO CHANGE THEIR NAME!

Okay, here's something amusing...

I did a customary "Sangra" "EQ2" Google search today at work in case Google happened to cache something which could lead us to know who she is now, and found this broker list referring to a seller named Sangra on the Guk server (cached version of the page from 29th July 2009). Some of the items for sale would require a high level, so I thought I'd investigate...

I decided to create an alt on Guk and try to match up the items, quantities, and prices to a particular seller - and it turns out that the person selling these exact items in their exact quantities and for the exact same price (with broker fees added of course)... is a coercer called Barrin.

These are just a couple of exact matches - no point in me showing you the rest.

So this leaves us with three possible scenarios... either:

1) A player on Guk had an 80 illusionist called Sangra (I say illusionist because the address used to be Willow Wood as displayed on the Zam Guk broker logs), changed their name to Barrin and betrayed to a coercer because the name Sangra has been blackened so much....

Or

2) A player on Guk despised the fact that their 80 illusionist was called Sangra too, so they sold their account in order to have as little to do with the name as possible... and the new owner changed the name and betrayed to coercer.

Or

3) The ZAM broker database is fucked and does not display the correct seller name or address, in which case all of the above would be completely wrong.

What do you guys think? Either way, it involves someone paying real money to not be called Sangra.
