In either case, it could have only been intentional.
The only reason CS can remove something from one toon and give it to another is based on an allegation of theft. But did CS inquire as to how it was possible for the item to be moved from account A to account B?
For this to happen, the only thing possible is if they believed the transfer involved account hacking. They wouldn't intervene if they believed the account login and pw had been provided voluntarily. And when give an item back on that basis, it is also my understanding they are required to soul mark/suspend the account they removed the item from, on the basis of theft.
I agree this sucks.
