The post didn't name any kind of game and had no reason to be locked, SOE forums or what? and what's with the yellow REMOVED? can people not speak there mind any more? or talk shit about admins?
Any ways I don't see it being a big deal but I find it funny that some of the threads that go around and a little one sentence that really means nothing illegal gets locked.

There are two issues here:
1. Kazzi posting what appears to be a solicitation for illegal information in violation of the Site Rules.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: It is rare as hell that we edit or lock anything for content reasons. On this site, that happens about twice a month, on average. We have over 100,000 posts on this site, and have been open since late September. You do the math - are we acting as censors?
No, I don't think so. We edit posts and remove content based on things that we believe are harmful to this site, or to other users of this site. That will always involve something prohibited in the Site Rules. In this case, from the screen shot Niber posted, I would have had the exact same reaction he did.
Kazzi posted what looks to me like a request for information on how to start up a pirate server for a MMOG. The Site Rules against this are clear:

I'm sorry, but you can't use this site to solicit or exchange information that is illegal or that if used as discussed would violate someone else's intellectual property rights. The reason for that is because I'm not going to put this site at risk of violating our hosting agreement, and I'm especially not going to spend my time and money defending anyone's else's belief that they have some free speech right to be a fucking idiot or steal from people.
Now, if a mistake was made in this case, I apologize for any misunderstanding. But as has been discussed on this site ad nauseum in the past regarding a user who was banned (later reinstated) for posting what he said was an exploit of EQ2, when something looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, I'm going to assume it is a duck.
When someone posts something that looks to be illegal content on its face, we will remove first, and ask questions later. In the case of the user who was previously suspended for posting an exploit, when someone says they are posting an exploit, and it appears to be an actual exploit, and they repost it after I tell them not to do that, I'll ban them from this site 100% of the time. If I later learn the person was just kidding or whatever, that what they claimed to be an exploit is not really an exploit because it was patched, and therefore it doesn't work anymore, I'll then unban the person, because a previous exploit that no longer works is not a current working exploit, and thus is not prohibited by the Site Rules.
In this case, my life's history and knowledge of the MMOG industry and the Internet causes me to reasonably believe that what Kazzi posted in this case was in violation of our Site Rules. If he wants to explain the situation and say it was really harmless and didn't involve something illegal, fine, I'll believe him. But what he posted, on it's face, cannot be posted on this site without more information that makes it clear that the post is not a solicitation for illegal information and materials.
2. Use of the "N" word, which Kazzi decided to use after Niber locked his post.
That's what was removed and replaced with "REMOVED" in yellow letters above - the "N" word.
First, let me make this comment to Kazzi: Dude, that's pathetic to start throwing around the "N" word as a racial slur for shock value because you are angry about something that either Niber or I did to your post. That's something I'd expect from a 10 year old. The only reason you did that is to get negative attention for the purpose of harming this site. You used the words in the manner you did because you were throwing a fit. You think you are a big man, and can go around saying that shit as you did here anywhere in the United States of America? I fucking DARE you to go around saying that in your everyday life, which I assume still involves military service.
If you are badass enough to say that shit here, why not show Uncle Sam how badass you are and mouth that all around your ship or barracks as well. You won't do that, because you know that will have real life consequences. So why do you think you can do that to me and this site instead? So now I have to choose: (a) should we allow Kazzi's pussy fit to stay up, so we drive away users who won't use a site that allows people to be insulted based on the "N" word, or (b) should we remove the "N" word when it is used in a derogatory manner, and thereafter have to argue with a small number of narrow minded fanatic assholes who will say we are censoring content and running this site like Nazi oppressors?
So you can see that any use of the term in the manner used by Kazzi puts me and this site in a no-win situation, I'm damned if I do, and damned if I don't. And whenver I'm going to lose no matter what I do, I will choose the option that will have the least negative outcome for me personally. Therefore, I will choose (b) every time.
We've had extensive discussion about use of the "N" word on this site before. I hate, can't stand it, and resent it personally every time I see it used. When I see it used, it is clear to me that the person who used it is low rent trash at best. However, as previously discussed and agreed on this site, the term has become slang in certain ways that allow it to be used socially, and between friends, in a manner that isn't negative or derogatory toward black people. I'm sorry, but Kazzi did not use the term in the extremely limited sense it is permitted on this site above. He used it in a prohibited way, and for the purpose of causing me grief personally.
The bottom line is this:
Fuck you Kazzi for wasting my time like this. If you feel the need to throw fits like a little bitch, please go somewhere else and do that, because I have better things to do than type lengthy explanations like this one after someone accuses us of censoring content because you felt the need to fuck with me and this site by using the "N" word as part of an insult.
Anyone who isn't able to restrain themselves from using the "N" word in a negative or racial way on this site is not welcome here, and shouldn't use this site. In my opinion, you don't have the "right" to use that term anywhere in the United States, except in very limited circumstances, which I've tried to adopt and allow on this site. The term is considered "fighting words" and not "free speech" in most jurisdictions. As a matter of law in many states, use of the term may provide someone else with legal justification to punch you in the mouth. It is not "free speech" when used toward a person in a negative context. Don't use it on this site.
