Living in the south most of life i can say that the "stereotype" is not as big as people think. Waving the confederate battle flag basically just shows your loyalty to the south and the appreciation of their heritage. It in no way constitutes racism. The fact that a part of racists happen to have that flag in their possession is just the fact that people were brought up that way. I know people that fly the flag that are racists... and at the same time i know people that fly the flag that have half black children.

I kinda of agree with you, but lemme say this. The company I work for has HVAC technicians come to customers' houses. It would take quite a bit for me to hire a black technician over a white technician. Why? Not just because I dislike them personally, but because I live in the south and so does the majority of the population. Most people do NOT want niggers to come to their house.

Fuck, I've had black people say to make sure "Don't send any niggers to my house." They will never stop being discriminated against until they stop discriminating themselves.

That's not true for all and maybe not even for the majority. When they don't get a decent education, they don't have every chance to be successful. I blame public education but thats a different topic.

Regardless, rap has desensitized the word ****** by using it so casually and frequently. People need to stop being so over-sensitive about a word and grow the fuck up.

I find it interesting that a white person in the first place is offended by the word. Who are you to try and take a "I place your burden on my shoulders" approach to something that doesn't affect you one way or the other?

I personally don't care if someone uses the word or not, and no one else should. We go through these debates in this country ad nauseam. Its allowed by some people, and not others. However, these are the same people that believe in a completely unregulated freedom of speech, but only for them.

Tater is right, there is no way to be unsuccessful in America today unless you are holding yourself back intentionally in order to present some sort of an "oppressed" lifestyle. That's ridiculous, whether you're black, white, asian, hispanic, or any other race or ethnicity. There are minority colleges. Every state has up to 100% tuition assistance for minorities. On top of that, there are SEVERAL communities that uphold a loosely worded Affirmative Action policy. If someone doesn't utilize that option, then it sure as fuck isn't someone else's fault cause they have no issue using the n word.

I'm curious LFG, how does that word offend you? How does it upset your life WHATSOEVER with the exception of someone else on this site maybe getting upset or offended? Especially with all of the fag comments, water-head comments, retard comments, and every other detrimental term allowed here? I don't believe any of those words should be editted, so why only ONE of the negative terms cut out? Is it because the black community is more outspoken on civil and societal issues than most others?
