Been a zerker myself, yes i do think that most of the tanks do not know their job well...
Out of 10 tanks, any class, 6 dont know what the hell they are doing, 2 are good tanks and 2 are awsome tanks.
So saying that a battle mage is better then any tanks is of course ridiculous (refering to what he told Borr) but yes out of the 6 tanks that dont know shit and just push button, as dumb as it sound he Kaalia might beat a few in those.

He doesn't parse 3-5k every fight. Don't fucking lie about it. Kaalia can't out tank a 3 year old with down symdrome mashing buttons. Why? How the fuck is kaalia gonna get spells off for aggro with 3+ mobs on him wtfpwning his newb ass, even if we use our imaginations and say he would survive 3 mobs on him.

Re: Kaalia (70 Wizard) - Everfrost
We had a necro pet doing the tanking. Then it was the healer, forget which class, then me, then an illusionist (Fizbang), a warlock we all felt was slacking, and I think the 6th person was another illusionist but I'm not sure.

lol.. uh maybe this is how?
The fourth level of the stamina tree allows the Sorcerer to continue fighting while he is in the heat of battle. The increase of .4 per rank to focus and disruption will help to keep you from being interrupted, allowing you to get off that life saving nuke, root or stun.
Manashield: When activated, Manashield will absorb all incoming damage for 30 seconds, using mana to supplement the damage to health.
So doh dee doh higher focus for less interrupts and in the case of 3 mobs you throw up your mana shield and Fusion?
Doh omg manashield also just turned his 7K mana into 7K more HP, man...wtf is that.
listen! plate tanks will always be > some mage tank. But now I think your the bigger Newb for not even looking up those alternate abilities and assuming it is impossible.
plus saying dumb things like wtfpwning...

dude you obviously still suck because you didnt go for the optimal group set up! dont try and sugar coat it.
I mean thats about as bad as some mage going for a tank spec! it isnt optimal so he must suck!

Oh I would definitely never spec battlemage, but if someone is loopy enough to try it, we might as well study the outcome.

I agree.
It would not be the first time a weird build became excepted as a common practice when and if they actually work out. Kind of like Various bard builds in the past.

Re: Kaalia (70 Wizard) - Everfrost
I grouped with Kaalia once as the MT and our group successfully ran oob/ CoV with no deaths.
Healers consisted of me (70 defiler) and a 67 fury. Rarely if ever did the fury have to heal.
Before we ran oob I almost disbanded because I wasn’t about to be the victim of some moron’s wet dream to tank as a wizzy, but my ego got the best of me.
I wasn’t going to be the first in group to puss out and disband. I figured we’d zone in, wipe a few times, the group would get frustrated and disband. No harm done. That way I could say I at least tried, and didn’t ditch the group even though I really thought the whole idea of a wizzy tanking was completely retarded, especially because we had an SK in group.
What ever, I rolled with it and thought it would be entertaining if nothing else.
I was actually shocked at how well Kaalia did as a “battle mage”. I never saw him loose agro once all through oob or CoV to any other group member, and he kept a fast pace on pulls
Kaalia knew how to pull mobs/groups with out drawing adds, had no problems holding agro, knew how to position mobs for the scout/melee dpsers, he knew the zones he was tanking in, and he LEAD the group.
All those things made him a good tank. Obviously he choose one of the worst possible class’s to play as a meat shield due to survivability, but he played the role of a “tank” better than most that night.
I think that was the context of his comment “I can tank as good as any fighter”
I don’t know what was said in 60-69 chat, but if Kaalia seriously thinks his survivability as a wizard is that of any fighter class of equal gear/knowledge against tough mobs then I agree. He’s full of himself, and doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.
Do I think he’s a crazy sob for making a wizard with the intentions to tank? Hell yeah I think he’s crazy, but his last name is psycho (seriously) so he obviously enjoys being different.
Did I have to work harder keeping Kaalia up versus most fighter classes I group with? Yeah I had to work a bit harder, but I had more fun to.
I’ve only grouped with Kaalia once, so I’m not going to call bullshit on the other folks here who think he’s a joke. I can easily see how fast things could go to hell in a hand basket if the group Kaalia’s tanking in has a lazy ass healer, or over zealous DPSers that pull agro etc.
Bottom line, it was fun grouping with Kaalia as the MT running routine/causal instances *shrug*

Before saying someone is a lying... learn to fucking read!!
There is no way in hell he's ever gonna tank any shit in a raid. (not with us at least) In a raid he's doing his wizard job and none of his tanking BS...
On trash mob yes he does 3-5 k and yes he is unfortunatly one of our best parser (none of our raider are true hardcore and we are happy with that)
Course yes on named he's not doing 3-5k (probably a really hardcore raider wiz can i donno and it's not the point here)
Bottom line that is exacly why i hate posting on those kind of forum... People with quick judging without even taking the time to read it right... (read here Artwat)
