Well I'm sure there's lots of down time when lil kids are taking a nap or are eating or doing homework or playing or reading or whatever, but the thing is that raiding/grouping on EQ takes devoted hours. I mean who logs on to EQ for 20 minutes to "play" and then logs off? Its not a TV show that goes to commercial, or a book you can put down, or even regular internet browsing/shopping or whatever, EQ is interactive, absorbing and pretty time intensive.

Ok, so do you have kids? Or just an armchair parent that thinks you know wtf you're talkin about?

I'm the proud mother of a baby kitten.

I feel guilty not playing with the lil kitten when I'm on EQ, so I don't know how someone can do that to their own kid.
Even though I haven't held the distinct honor of being a human incubator, I have helped to raise more than my share of the little rugrats, and I do know wtf I'm talking about. Besides, its pretty fuckin simple to figure out that you can't do two things at once. I'm as good a multi-tasker as anyone else, but I have a hard time even reading a magazine or watching something on tv while playing EQ ... so how can someone raise a kid while playing it? Something's gotta give, is all I'm trying to say ...
Anyhoo Alania, obviously you're an intelligent person and protective mother, I'm sure you're a great mom and you have great kids. I'm sure they'll get over the EQ neglect in a couple of years. Just kidding ...

I'm sure they're healthy and happy.
My point was that there are a lot of kids who are growing up with a parent addicted to the net in some way or another, just reading the OP, obviously this game was a problem in that family.
