Thank you! That is really nice of you to say. See, I've dealt with this shit for 29 years, and for 26 of those years, I let it get to me. Since I left my ex-husband, I've gotten a new outlook on life, and I try to LIVE it and not let the perceptions of other determine my future.

Who cares of some pimply faced 12 year old thinks I'm old and fat? I don't. My bf obviously likes what he see's! :p I know I'm no super model, but I do think I have my good qualities, and I don't exactly break the camera when I look at it rofl!

Oh yeah... and I can easily admit when I'm wrong about someone. I have done so twice on this forum already! Some people like to judge others without getting to know them. I am just as guilty. But at least I'm open enough to get to know someone better, even if I don't like them, to see if that judgement is sound or not.

I think it's really respectable to not be ashamed of how you look. In our society with the way media puts a big emphasis on how you should and shouldn't look as a woman, it's really hard to find people who are just down to earth and don't give a damn. Especially with men. All they see in tv, magazines, and movies is stick-thin gorgeous women, so when it comes to reality, they think everyone should look like that. (Obviously, these two don't get out much if that's the case.) So I blame the media for making you the way you are, and your Mom for not teaching you how to respect a woman.

So congrats to you, Elaine, for finding someone who loves you for who you are, as that is a real oddity now-a-days. Treasure it.

As for the posters who can't flame Elaine about anything other than her looks, you're both unintelligable, insecure and juvenile. Looks don't make the world go around. And it's childish to believe so. Thanks for being the kind of pricks that make beautiful women turn to anorexia and bulemia. Your truely one of a kind and loved by all women. (/sarcasm). I'm sure your girlfriend would be insecure of herself around you if she saw some of the shit you've typed here. And she'd be lying if she wasn't.

And here's a little project for you, the average woman in America as of last year was a size 14. That's PLUS SIZED in some stores. Go to Wal-Mart and look around. Count how many beautiful (in your eyes, stick thin) women you see there. Trust me, you wont find many. Fact is, neither of you get out much and all you see is tv, magazines, women on the internet, porn whatever. You just proved it right there with your fatophobia.
