Re: Ninja Undercutters
when I buy stuff off the broker, I always buy from the guy who has 20 or less of an item. As a Prov it really gulls me to see 500 of a drink under one name. I give most of my stuff to guildies.

When I have cooler gear than you, more TS customers than you, kill more contesteds than you, clear raid zones faster than you, do higher dps than you, I win.

Re: Ninja Undercutters
Out of boredom, I finally leveled my main to 70 provisioner. (70-70-50 yay I win eq2!:smiley-happy: ).
I've noticed the problem with people undercutting prices on food and drink, and it always irritates me. Out of courtesy to my fellow players, I price my stuff at the exact same level as everyone else (majoiry of the food and drink on the market). Without fail, someone with some unintelligible name will modify their prices to undercut the majority of the market.
It sucks, but at least I know I'm fair in my pricing, and being polite to my fellow "real" players. I might not sell as much as the "bot farmer crafter", but I can play comfortably knowing that I have been honorable and equitable to my fellow "real" provisioners.
I just hope other players are intelligent enough to look at the market, and make smart choices when buying items from the broker. Support your fellow players who are trying to make honest coin, not from some cost cutting wal-mart "bot". We might be priced slightly higher, but we will thank you, and reciprocate when you have things on the market. :smiley-happy:

I have the opposite problem on Nek. There's someone who got REALLY RELALY upset that I and other WW's were selling tools at 3-4g (the price has settled at 4g for Sandalwood). He buys mine and markets them at 10g.
Since Kiana's *always* selling, barring internet outages like yesterday, I wonder how many he sells.

LOL I weep for the person who tries to do this with the current crafting system, I can't imagine any market than can effectively be cornered for long. Back when we had to refine and do subs I would /shrug off someone who bought all my boxes at my desired price and tried to resell them (I would wish em luck, I made the gold I wanted outta it). I can imagine some people made some fair plat doing this...although it was always a risk if a power-crafter like kiana would be able to quickly whip up a fresh batch of items. Nowdays, the only thing holding my crafter back is how long raids run and how many mats I have on hand.

I do something similar...if the market is at a fair price with relatively few items up for sale I'll place my items up at the exact price of the current lowest seller. If I think too many peeeps are in the water at too high a price, I'll drop my items (boxes primarliy) a substantial/respectable amount to stimulate sales (for a rosewood box I typically drop the price in 1 gold increments). If people match my price thats fine. If they drop the price 1 copper piece just so they are at the top of the list I often drop the price another gold piece or more (depending on how close we are to the break-even point).
I have a lvl 70 chemmie, and prov who I only use for personal/guild needs b/c of the pricing insanity in those markets. I'm currently leveling at 62 armorer (b/c I'm bored) that I do not even bother trying to sell items with (I can empathize with ya on the weaponsmith LFG).

I have to agree with E. I stopped crafting becuz darn it, if you were a sage before they took out the intermediates, it was a pain in the ass. You had to make the ink, the paper, and the quills and make the stuff to make the stuff that made those things. And even though making that stuff helped you to lvl, like i said it was a pain. So I stopped.
But as it so happened, somebody thought it was a great idea to put crafting in the high lvl HQs...the asses and so I had to raise a lvl 30 sage to 50...um...something...lol. I dont craft with rares and nobody wants an App4 spell. So all the spells I have are pretty worthless to anybody but a merchant, which doesnt recycle coin into the economy. But what's a chick to do?
On BB it doesnt matter if you undercut by a few silver becuz most people will undercut so damn bad that its not even worth the effort puttin items on the broker. So woowoo to those who do it by a silver or 2. At least eventually somebody will buy the one priced just above. Who's gonna buy adamantine from you if every Tom, Dick, and Dick's brother Bob is selling it and they're selling it for 2c. So I would rather they under sell me for a silver.
PS...I dont sell harvests anymore. I give them away. I was just using it as an example of how bad undercutting is on our server.
