and barring the stupid explanation like if you have a upper case P with some parenthesis, a colon and a D that you get something like that ... my most important question was ... WTF was that about? The banging 100 thing? The farming of Court of Al'Afaz when timers were broken? Dizzin's just sucking at life like usual? ;-)

This was discussed in 60-69 last night. Supposedly Zhugeliang was running a bot program, and that was the command that he mistyped for the whole world to see. Not exactly DAMNING evidence, like they led us to believe, and I'd really like to see what happened AFTER that.

P.S. if you do continue to post logs, make sure you use the [ CODE][ /CODE] tags, that way the formatting won't stick random smileys in there ;)

Are you shittin me, will /banging 100 even give you a random 1 - 100 roll? If it doesn't then why is this even discusse? People are dumb.

If someone 'mistypes' something people immediately think h4x. Is he really that eager to get a T6 necklace? I doubt it. If so, I feel bad for him and think we should all team up to help him out.

I dont know about this one. The text to me seems rather suspicious and leads me to think that there was something else going on, but who can tell.
I wasnt there, so im not really at liberty to pass judgement.

That being said, one of the things that I've noticed alot of lately is a lot of discussion among people in the level channels accusing others of using "snipe" programs or cheats. Is there a proven case of people doing this in EQ2? There's nothing that I hate more than a cheater.

My understanding is that rolls are handled "server side" so it would be next to impossible to manipulate the rolls.

Im wondering if this type of cheating is a real phenomenon or if it's just people freaking out at lucky rolls. Anyone out there have any type of experience with this junk?

Being a guild leader I was faced with the problem in my guild 6 months ago when the rumor of the programs being available. So I contacted 3 other guild leaders on my server and hosted a meeting on Vent to talk about looting in group and raiding. They all said that they had one or two members always rolling over 90 and never under it. So we scheduled a meeting again 3 days later to investigate and share our findings. We joined up for yet another chat. Thats when one of the guild leaders shared some really disturbing information about these programs.

Simply put you can roll exactly the number you want or tell the program to roll a random number between two numbers you choose. So, if you want to roll a 100 you can, and if you want to roll between 90 and 100 you can. It still comes out in Raid chat that <Player 1> random 1-100 and rolls.........XXX like it should and no one would be the wiser. Now if your in a group and Click ALL on a chest loot its simply done the same way. The player running the program might be doing a 90-100 on those to make sure he has the best roll chances for loot. This can be turned on and off as they wish, like in between Legendary or Master Chest drops so not to be caught as easily. So wooden chests would be regular rolls, and the Legendary or Master chests could be looted with a program.

Decision on loot.......

Play with only those you trust if you can. Second we went to a seeded roll in raids,<NBG> not (DKP System)... This means. Everyone that can use the item drop as an upgrade to their current item links their current item it will replace. Then all those meeting the criteria for the upgrade rolls a /ran 100. After all the rolls are complete the raid leader then rolls a /ran 100 and the person closest to the leaders roll wins the item. That knocks out the use of a program totally because the highest roll or lowest roll dosent matter.

Disclaimer... I am in no way going to put the names of ANY of the programs we found in this post, on the forums, in chat, private message, Email, telephone call, text message..... or any other form of transfering information.

The fact some of you think they dont exist, or dont want to accept the fact they do, or the fact that people use them, thats alright with me. But don't tell people that they don't when as a matter of fact their are exactly 14 programs I know of to this day. I have removed 4 people from my guild for using programs and admitted to me they did. These are not programs being used by little Timmy in the guild but buy moms and dads, and ashamed now that they used them. They are not worth it and someone will catch on that knows you sooner or later. This is only a game and I wish people didn't need programs like these.
