I brought up the Nazi's cause well ... I cant think of anything else applicable...I mean flying an Iraqi flag...well that would just be silly. Everyone hates teh Iraqi's.

What other examples should i site? And yes your right Columbus didnt discover america, how can you discover a place that is already populated? And to continue to imply that everyone else who either differ's from your own view or attempts to make a point contrary to your own is uneducated while you are the supreme holder of all that is fact, is an assanine implication.

So what did we learn? We learned the South got screwed over, we should let them still own slaves. Oh and we also learned that I apparently need to study more and that Iraqi's are hated by everyone (including their leader, Sadam).

Lol, I mentioned Columbus because you somehow think Hitler and the Nazis taking over an economically destitue Germany and attempting world domination while exterminating minorities and setting up a supreme race is like the Southern states wanting to seperate from the Northern states because they didn't want to be told what to do and wanted more states rights and less federal government is the same or similar.

But your doing exactly what your claiming i'm doing, but about Nazi's rather than Southerners. Look I dont give a crap about Slavery or Nazi's cause as long as i've been around neither has been. Slavery may have had some role? What is high school teaching kids these days?

The South simply can't afford to acknowledge the role of slavery in the Civil War. Because once it does, the Confederate cause becomes a forever dead and indefensible cause and the Confederate flag becomes a banner of subjugation. Saying issues A and B were the cause of the Civil War and not slavery is especially ignorant when the roots of A and B were slavery.

There are enough historians to argue any side of an issue, I'm not going to defer to some mythical census.

Nobody is saying Slavery had no role in war because it did, but it was a secondary issue. I've yet to see a recent history book say slavery was the cause of the war. My ancestors owned slaves. Based on their own writings? Wasn't why they joined up to fight. A tetriary issue that no one ever looks at, is that many people joined because the war was eminent. The North was invading the South and this was their land. You either joined up with your neighbors, or you joined the invaders as a "traitor." Putting slavery aside, I see it as no different than the Revolutionary War. Slavery was just the stressor that got the ball rolling.

Its a bit of a stretch back to gcse history, but the swastika is / was a pre christian hindu symbol. It can be displayed square or at an angle merely for reasons of aesthetics. Cant for the life of me remember which god it depicts, but facing right it represents the universes evolution and facing left it represents the universes involution (creation?).

The Nazi party pinched the swastika from early Indian culture and maried it with the indian caste system of the time to develop their idea of eugenics
