One note I just wanted to add about what someone said earlier. Percussion of stone is a nice spell to have up, however I don't always use it depending on the situation. I might have Tomb's Calm (20% chance for a melee proc for the entire group of about 300 to 500 speced the way my dirge is) and the dirge's agi and str buff (181 to both I believe speced the way I am) depending on the group makeup. I might not even have the mana regen song up if an enchanter is in the group. Dirges and Troub buffs as I am sure you are aware are very situational and a good bard knows when to toggle their buffs respectively by examining their group makeup. I am not stating that this bard is not an idiot, obviously he is, just stating the PoS isn't the end all be all you seem to be making it out to be.

Likely though? Just really stupid. And I say this as someone with a 70 Dirge that hasn't been 70 for very long. I can understand not having Percussion up and running, there is the odd time I'll take it down. If the tank isn't really taking much damage and he's holding aggro like a champ .. there isn't much sense in using the concentration for it.

But CoB? Christ, the minute you get that song people are asking for a spam message. And your just a freaking idiot if you can't use the correct Bria's.

A high level healer in 20s gear including a mix of no-stat ceremonial drops not for any particular reason (not even visible pieces for a fashion statement). Going OOP in thirty seconds dropping every heal under the sun as soon as the tank takes any damage, with mana flow on top of power regen on top of the group power drain.

I had to explain to a T5 character what amends did and why they should use it (at all, as in put the buff on someone period when tanking), and I know for a fact this wasn't ebay.

More on topic, a couple bards lately that decide it's okay in our mid-level six-man groups to turn on autofollow every couple minutes and be "buffbots". I dunno if it's the official forums telling people a bard is the low-impact fast track to riches or what, but damn, your buffs ain't THAT good and your DPS does make a difference in these groups.

So ya, there are people out there that just either don't know or don't care hehe.

On a side note, what do you want to bet that guy was using the highest version of the spell that he had in his spell book? I mean you do have to buy your level 55 version :P

Usuallly when people post that us bards are no better than buff bots we blow them out of the water and piss on there bonfire...

Low impact fast track to riches... hmm i think not bards are far from the best solo class out there. and if you have bards going ninja when your in a group kick um cos they ain't worth it and are probably alts anyway.

before actually saying anything regarding the OP's comments can i ask if the person in question is in a guild and when his char was made?

Reason i ask is that if this guy is a newb he might not know that you have to buy upgrades for your spells from lvl 51 upwards and if he solo's alot he probably doesn't know what buffs to have up in a group and if so i'm betting he also had our self buff up too.

If the char is older then i would say this was a bought toon and the guy is a newb which is even worse as he'll have no clue on what anything does, when to use it or how the game works at all.

Naw but you look in the posts on the general forums, every time someone asks for a class that is needed by raids the answer is always bard or chanter, with the bard being mentioned as the harder of the two to fuck up. Defiler gets a mention if they're talking healers hehe.

I know Giessel. She didn't buy her toon or pay anyone to lv it. Shes just actually that stupid and usually shes a bitch. Her hubby usually plays drunk (I now see why he drinks so much). She'll log on in the morning and go LFG for about 2 hours spamming her LFG message every 5 minutes for the entire period, she never gets an answer.
