I had joined NRA because it's website said it's wasn't like the other raiding guilds/alliances. It was about having fun and giving everyone a chance.

At the time I signed up, the notice about the gear wasn't there. And when it was put up, did anyone bother to let me know? Nope.

Instead, some of them (you) decided to start talking shit. And I responded the same way I do when anyone talks shit to me.

I had been playing EQ2 for about 6 months at the time, if that. I didn't know that the tier of your gear really mattered, and no, I didn't know that some of my spells are considered "pets", because I had never been in a situation where it mattered.

Sure, i'm a noob at the raiding crap, and even being high level then. And while some of you say I could of done an instance a day and get all the "elite" gear in this thread, but did anyone bother to say that to me when I first joined NRA?

No. Did I make it a secret that I was new to it? Nope, I didn't. Instead, some of you decided to start talking crap and putting me down.

Which is fine, NRA proved what it was, and it wasn't something I wanted to be a part of.



I play EQ2 to have a good time. Same reason I played EQ1 for a few years. I don't play to be the best at anything, nor do I play to impress anyone.

But the truth is, I joined NRA to raid and have fun, and instead of anyone being decent and letting me know what I needed to get more properly "raid" ready, no one said anything, then dumped on me like I should of know better.

Sorry I wasn't given a manual on how to prepare to raid, but I guess sony forgot when I got my account.

And being new to the game, I wasn't good at making money, and the harvest rare rates were horrible back then. (8 hours of harvesting netted me 1 acrylia). The guild I had joined said they were going to raid, then it never happened. Which is why I joined NRA, and is why I bitched about my guild, because they ended up falling very short of what they said they were about.

I thought eq2 was like eq1, where you had to raid to get the good gear. But thats not true, since the good gear is groupable in the instances. Something I did NOT know then, and the guild I was in, well, they sucked because they always would say we needed 2 healers to do them. Which I found out later to be false, seeing as I can solo into MMC and OOB no problem.


So, you go on talking your shit, and for whatever fucking reason you think I matter enough to keep talking about me. But it seems to me your looking for approval for being a dick, because you know it was handled very, very wrong.


And just for the record, I do not sell anything over the chat channels. I put my stuff on the broker. But thats okay, you can keep trying to say I do this, or I do that, since that's about all you can really do.


I'm not making excuses, I was poorly equipped for raids. But the only difference is, if it was someone else, I would of informed them of what they need to do, instead of trying to put them down to make my myself feel better, or look better to whomever your trying to impress.

- You had grey gear on from tiers 5, 6, and 7
- You got out dps'ed by healers
- You got people killed because you didn't know what skills you and your necro pet use (Gnorbl fight)
- You got chewed out for it because: after 6+ months played you should have known more; after 6+ months played you should be able to dps better than 400 zonewide as a necro; to many of us it looked like you were there just for yourself and not to help in any way which is selfish and abusive of the goodwill extended to you in allowing you to come. 6+ months is what, over 4000 hours of time spent on one toon? That's a lot of time to spend clueless.

You had three options:
1) Take the chewing out in stride, get better gear, read more about your class, and learn to play.
2) Be a whiner, get all offended, and not take any criticism to heart.
3) Be a whiner, get all offended, and take some of the criticism to heart and improve.

It looks like you chose option 3 and have at least improved on your gear. I'd never group with you or run an instance with you, but I'm glad that someone has. Hopefully you continue to get better gear, learn to play better, and don't make a bad name for necros. If you aren't willing to do the basics or be knowledgeable about your class, don't ask to join raids.

Unless you bought your account 6 months is a long time to go on playing up to your lvl without knowing the basics of the game. If you did buy your account id still be embarrassed. I find it hard to believe that no one in your prior 6month exp told you anything about any of the Ulrics complaints. Sounds like to me you needed a verbal ass kicking to wake up but thats just my opinion. Retard? maybe not....but i think id rather take that title over just being plain ignorant.

Funny, I could have sworn that I've recieved a plat spam from a Estoofeuli long time ago....

But on another note, 6 months is plenty of time to have caught on to the workings of the class and the game....unless you don't read chat at all about all the people trying to get pick up grps for OOB, Valdoon or catacombs, and how there is always people in chat getting together for kaladim gloves ring event or sage run for pants. A person would have to be completely ignorant of the chat, LFG options and just plain oblivious to grping, since at lvl 70 you would be picked up for mainly EoF instances. Even soloing you would have picked up better gear off trash mobs in various instances.

So I think its safe to assume that the toon was flat out bought due to the high level of ignorance wafting about.

The point is, I didn't pretent to be anything else, and instead of NRA pointing the noob in the right direction, some of them choose to pick on the noob, while the others watched.

Now you are trying to find excuses to say your behavior was okay, by trying to say I bought my account.

Hate to break it to you, but you are wrong on some many levels.
This game has been going, what, 4 years or so? And I haven't hit the year mark yet.
How many expansions were there when you started? What was the highest level?
Did you have so many options when you started playing?

I just play the game and learn as I go. Usually I meet decent people who clue me in on stuff I don't know, and I try to avoid others.
I don't pay much attention to the chat channels.

So you can keep making all the excuses on how I am this or I am that, but the truth is, I was looking to have fun and play and raid, and instead of finding other like minded people, I mistakenly joined up with the alliance that said it "wasn't like the other raid guilds", but was very much so.

But hey, thats fine. I don't want to be apart of people like that anyways. You act like it's a crime to not fully understand a game, and that I must have "bought" my account because I don't know as much 6months into the game as you claim I should.

The fact remains: I didn't pretend to be anything other then what I was, and I joined NRA so I could have fun and learn another aspect of the game. Did I tell others I hadn't raided in eq2 before, and only did it a few times in eq1? Yep.

I don't have a problem with not being able to raid because my "gear" and crap wasn't good enough, shit, that only makes sense.
My problem was instead of someone being decent about it, and let me know what I needed to do before I would be able to raid, was nothing being said for weeks, then suddenly dumping on me.
Thats just lame, no matter how you try to spin it.

So, continue on with making your excuses, because it doesn't matter to me. You have proven what you are by your posts.
