Maybe my point on 4 was misconstrued. Relic armor is like the cheese of fabled armor. I am talking real fabled armor. I just miss the days of T5 when you could get a couple items off a named and their was alot of content.

BTW my guild isnt to the point yet where we can take contesteds from EC unless they have given up on that particular one. In fact not many guilds on my server could. We have about 10 guilds doing tier 7 raid content, and of those 3 I would consider fairly hard core. The rest are farming deathtoll and the like probably trying to gear up.

RAIDING = contested mobs. Because anyone can do an instance. There's no competition. It's simply a matter of learning the zone and learning how to do it.

With contesteds, you have to know the encounter so you don't fail and lose it, AND you have to be able to beat everyone else to it.

I'm not saying that instances aren't raiding at all, but they're more casual * shrug *

I hate instances but I enjoyed T5 despite them since there were lots of other things to do. But I consider DoF and KoS such abject failures that I am not getting EoF. In fact I was so disappointed in DoF that I wasn't planning to get KoS until several guildies talked me into it with visions of many contested dragons. It didn't help that said guildies quit shortly after the expansion launched either.

Oh did I say that I hate instances?

I didn't get the E-mail re-defining the term 'raid' to include only contested encounters.

Crap.

I don't think the vast majority of guilds out there that don't get contested but think they are 'raiding' got it either.

You forgot to send it to the game designers too!!!!111

Better re-send it guys n' girls because it looks like only some of the members of a couple of small guilds per server got it.

Clearing just trash mobs is weak but being able to clear the whole entire zone in my eye would be raiding and yea only a one to three guilds per server get the contesteds but hey thats the way it has always been.
