Re: All non-raiders who comment on raiding
I raided the hell out of T5. But I took a break and came back to non raiding guilds... So I don't say a word.
But I miss raiding
Anyone on Befallen wanna let a cute lvl 70 Inquisitor tag along sometime?

Re: All non-raiders who comment on raiding
Amen - if you raid Labs every 12 hours or every day, you are not a fucking raider.
...but the nuthuggers will flame this thread saying just because they don't raid 5 days a week, doesn't make them not a raider.

What would you consider "raiding" though? I've known people, that when I talk about raiding, and tell them that we were doing Labs, they laughed at me. So if Labs isn't considered "raiding"...what is?

Re: All non-raiders who comment on raiding
Instanced dungeons aren't real raiding. Yeah they're fun and all, but they're casual.
RAIDING = contested mobs. Because anyone can do an instance. There's no competition. It's simply a matter of learning the zone and learning how to do it.
With contesteds, you have to know the encounter so you don't fail and lose it, AND you have to be able to beat everyone else to it.
I'm not saying that instances aren't raiding at all, but they're more casual * shrug *

Re: All non-raiders who comment on raiding
I was curious on that too, I mean i dont consider myself a raider as we only casually do it ... Guild wise we have raided Labs (got vyemm to 3% before his hiding in the wall became too much and we wiped...damn verdict was resisted too), Lyceum (just didnt do Vilduce...damn i hate not killing the boss), AoA x2, and killed the x2 crab...we havent done HoS as a guild, and I and some others have killed Harla and Gore (damn talendor from preventing me from getting my bracelet).
I dun comment on mobs i havent at least faught (cept to say the occasional 'wow good work killing that dude'), but even though i dont consider myself a raider, i'm sure some others would. How do we define 'raider?'
Edit Note: Oh i forgot, i did the stupid dragon in ToS (Vraskin or whatever) ... gave me my pimp stick.

I believe labs is laughed at because its a pathetically easy raid zone. I mean any zone you can put together nightly pick up raids and SUCCEED is too easy. If that is the only zone you raid, then you might not be considered a "raider". Guilds who raid 2-3 days a week are considered casual raiders. Guilds who raid 4-7 days a week are considered "raiding guilds." Hard core vs non hard core i believe comes down to whether or not raiding is mandatory.
I believe guilds who consistantly (once a week) clear Labs, Lyceum, HOS and DT are who is considered "raiders," while those who hit contested are considered "High end raiders."

Re: All non-raiders who comment on raiding
I am not that strict on raiding....
If you relic farm, you are not a raider.
If you do instances, and clear NAMED....you are a raider.
Doing contested is a higher level of raiding, but shit Hurricanus is so fucking easy, that if you know what you are doing any group of 24 people can do it (since a higher end guild can 3 group or less it)

You and I agree on this...wow. This is why I keep saying they need more raid content. By Pinski's definition? I'd hate to see more than one raid zone this expansion period.

Re: All non-raiders who comment on raiding
Ok, I can see where the term "raiding" is defined. My guild is just getting their feet wet on raiding. We're learning how to work together as a team so we really haven't gotten further than Labs. Then again, we're a family guild so I think with what we have done, it's note worthy.
