It's sad but true that many people only go to post on the boards when they perceive a problem. They *probably* far outweigh people going to the boards to compliment the gamemakers on something they find particularly good. I know I have rarely posted there to say 'Wow, that was great' or whatever other suprelative you care to employ.

I disagree that somebody bitching or complaining without leaving anything positive to go on is a waste of time. If enough people are whining on the same topic, just maybe, there's a problem, even if it's with customer perception of that facet of the game. And if it's a mechanics issue, many people don't necessarily feel competent enough to speculate on potential workarounds.

SoE have put those boards out there fro better or worse. It's their decision to maintain and hopefully use them as a sounding board for opinion and technical feedback. Seperating the wheat from the chaff is their issue. I just stop reading threads I consider to be crap after a few words/sentences.

I ended up telling Kendricke that if he got his wish, he would be sitting on Guk mostly alone and his precious perfect game would have gone the way of Horizons. (I might have been a lot more rude about it since I sometimes have 0 patience for him, I don't remember.)

I really wish that all of the people who call for people to leave the game so that they could enjoy it in peace, would get their wish so that they could see just how happy they would be and how great the <strikethru>M</strikethru>MORPG is now. I would even be happy to install some EQ2 servers on their lan for them.

The idea of having Radar on call 24/7 is VERY appealing. Is the bitching only limited to you? Can I complain about other stuff?

The worst of the bunch are the ones that make a long post that's one huge run-on gibberish sentence. There's a complaint somewhere in there, but damned if you can translate it into english to filter it out.

There are chronic bitchers.. but to top them off.. are the ones you get to listen to on ventrillo/TS .. Months of listening to the same person bitching about the same shit .. over and over and over.. *sigh*

I'm so glad I've never had to deal with that, I can't imagine listening to Crac in Vent, heard about that from so many people. I think some things should just remain a mystery lol. TS and Vent have gotta be responsible for a ton of drama that would have never happened if people just typed instead.
