For once I agree with you. All the teachers in the graphics design program at my college swear by the Mac and tell people if they don't have one they will fail. Guess what, I did everything they wanted us to do on a Mac on my PC.

from a graphic design standpoint there is no difference between the platforms now...
back in the 80s and 90s when your teachers where learning mac was the big dog, and since they have invested in the platform they continue to promote it.
I use a mac at work and a PC at home, the main difference is the availability of software and price. many of the 3d programs I use dont have a mac version, also I dont want to wait 4 years for a game to be ported to the mac.
now im going to mac user hell for saying that publicly
