Scott Hartsman leaving Trion Worlds | Massively
According to a recent post on the RIFT forum, Executive Producer Scott Hartsman has announced his resignation from Trion Worlds.
"It's been an amazing time," Hartsman writes, "Working with some of the best developers anywhere, getting the company's first game off the ground, taking it all the way through a multitude of amazing updates, then to Storm Legion, and even a little bit beyond."
Lead Game Designer Bill "Daglar" Fisher will be continuing with the State of the Game update starting tomorrow, but no word yet if he'll be taking over the Executive Producer role.
SHIT FUCK PISS COCKSUCKING SON OF A BITCH
No bueno. =(
I wonder who tempted him away. I'll play whatever video game this guy puts out. I bet all the eqnext'ers are like....
ofc i would play eqnext if he produced it
Don't argue with an idiot, first they'll bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
Trion is going to be publishing a new MMORPG, too... I'm scared.
His leaving Trion is definitely connected to the ArcheAge publishing deal.
What, did he not want to be apart of that or something? Archeage doesn't look all to bad on the trailer, of course thats the trailer.

Hartsman is the Executive Producer for RIFT specifically, so I doubt AA had anything to do with him.
No not that AA is bad, in fact everything I've seen suggests it is pretty good. I'm thinking along the lines of the recent layoffs (which possibly resulted from the AA deal) might have caused a rift with Hartsman and the team.
nice!
Scott: "Who the fuck opened a PVP rift right here? W.T.F.!"
