I really like my pvp spec, you might want to give it a try. I know people like high numbers in warfronts, but overall I feel like my build is a little more effective. I'm above average in damage and never at the top, but it's all single target and am usually 20ish PKs per warfront - and I always prioritize bards then healers (bards are just stupid easy to kill). If you're not rank 4 you'll miss out on the double healing debuff, but it's still not bad with boosting MM a little higher for more dps or situational abilities.
For high renown rank clerics I generally build to 5 - then scourge of darkness - anathema - then try to burst them down.
You can also use the ranged MM attack to proc fell blades in aoe.
Warriors will tear you up if they get into melee - you have lots of survivability tools. Sometimes when people get bloodthirsty kiting groups of 4 players all on you is effective enough even if you die... your team then has the time to kill their backline while they're trying to kill the 'easy to kill' MM.
I generally die about 6 times per WF in a pug scenario as a sab vs 2-3 with my nb-mm hybrid.
Make sure you macro your melee with your ranged attacks:
#show swift shot
cast swift shot
cast primal strike
etc... a lot of times healers/players will try to close into melee range against MM hoping they'll be too close for MM abilities to work.
Yea, it does. People did that more pre-1.2 I guess and I still see it occassionally. I don't play high MM so don't have that ability.
Whats the top rogue pvp build at the moment? I have no interest to tank, so I'm going to scrap that role and replace it with a pvp build. So I have something to do in the wee hours of the morning between random groups.
Theres a lot of viable rogue specs, depends what you like imo
I use....
51assassin/15infil - most used to capture WF objectives, solo guard areas, one of the best over-land ganker specs I use.
40mm/15infil/11nb - brutal damage output
21infil/45mm - semi goof off spec, I got "step into the shadows" ability so I can treat my MM like an assassin and have the perma stealth for overland and a slip away style ability. This one is almost always for overland, rarely would pull it out in a WF. It's also not the most efficient for dmg, it's just a versatile, goof off, pseudo assassin marksmen.
51bard/7ranger/8nb - full group support, good group healing.
44sab/17assassin/5 ranger - I stack a lot of crit for this toon. With bard buffs and some WF's with buffs I am packing 58 - 61% crit chance, 51% solo. Not so great for overland ganking. WF's it does heavy dirt if I have reliable heals and can strap my bombs consistently. When people have cooperated I have more than doubled top damage or quadrupled 2nd highest damage on my team. When I want raw dps for masses I use this spec. Of all my specs this one could maybe use tweaks - I made it before I got alot of gear, considered trying a similar setup to my MM/nb/infil one or something to drop some crit for increased damage mebe. But I want the high explosive ability and not sure if it's worth it since NB only boosts combo generating abilities (which is like all of MM hits outside finisher) whereas sab uses lots of non combo point abilities like bombs and traps.
I honestly need a 6th role, I want another spec to toy around with for PvP >.>
Also I am sure specs are going to get gutted up once rogue changes come 1.5. There are some huge changes and probably will be worth adjusting specs for.
I suck at Riftstalker but, there are some people who do some pretty leet things with one in pvp.

What kind of changes are coming with 1.5?
Websense finally filtered out Riftjunkies. QQ
I tried looking for like 5 min and can't remember where I found a collection of rogue changes. Some changes to NB stuff, MM has lots of slated changes and more synergy with other souls, assassin got some buffage. But it's still under lots of testing/changing process and I think theres still over a month until it all goes live.
Rogues get more damage, some more burst, and some better healing capabilities, to name a few things I remember.
ps. this thread
Patch 1.5 ROGUE BUFFS
Check page 2 cause some stuff changed since the first post in that topic. Either way it turns out, it appears rogues are getting some hot stuff.
Yeah, Websense doesn't like that link either.
