Seems like they suffered from RL poaching their members or something, but I dont think its a laughing matter really that a guild can not progress due to lack of dedicated players, and I doubt that some bragging on a homepage can cause so many hurt feelings, there must be more to this story.. Virgin or not, whats up? (2 minutes after i went LFG, i heard about this guild....)

ps: New England Patriots owns all!!!!!

Potted history of the stuff I remember or know about. I'm trying to be unbiased because I have no particular axe to grind here. I'm sure other will correct me if wonr or add anything i've forgotten:

Claiming ww fastest progression in EoF just before RoK release (you know, when the world and it's dog knew the strats for every mob). Might have been a joke but iirc guild leader attempted to justify claims on here.

Claiming TnT Mayong kill (this with a number of players at level 80) then admitting a week after they didn't actually kill him.

Claiming KoS completely clear (during EoF) implying that included contested (at the time I don't believe they had killed even one).

Story about guild leader boxing a toon on previous server and sustaining a charade of that toon being real and female for some months. Logs showing the toon cybering with other guild members posted.

Even attempting to form a 'hardcore' guild on a server where there are two already controling spawns and three more decent T2 raid guilds. Those guilds can struggle when recruiting demonstrating there's a lowish supply for raiders with 5 guilds recruiting already. They were always going to struggle for roster and were informed before the guild started up.

I believe the first time the guild shrunk it was because they kicked a number of the players realising the reasons they had been available for immediate recruitment; low attendance or they just weren't very skilled players.

Then a lot of players left when the guild leader shouted 'Pwned' or similar when one of the hardore guilds beat the other to complete VP. Coming from a guild that had achieved nothing, I would probably have been annoyed too. Most of the server seemed to think it was a pretty dumb thing to do and that backlash lost them some more members (I believe an officer or two left after this one).

There's probably lots more that imo is down to the leaders sense of humour and website updates. Trouble is, putting those more minor ones together with the above, people have a very negative image of the guild. A more toned down approach might have worked better.

I'm not sure how well they will do for recruiting on server now. Many of the people I know in casual guilds know of their Rep and wouldn't consider them if they wanted to move to a more raid oriented guild.

Time will tell.

The saddest part imho is that they give the illusion of a HC guild to ppl who don't know them and then ppl who apply can go and do EoF or RoK T1 pickups every night. I can imagine how someone feels when pays 50 bucks to server transfer into a "HC" guild which makes worse progression than even raid alliances...

Needless to say tho that at least they bring fresh meat to the server so maybe other guilds can slip a few good promising applicants with time when they realize the truth and don't want to pay 50$ again for transferring

Okey, so where were all this info about Rebellion before I joined? I could really have used it, considered I'm one of those poor souls, who actually transferred to join them, in the hope that I would get to raid on EU times.

And yea, was fine untill the expansion arrived, after that it was a drama hell. Ended with me being kicked and all of the other old members left :P

But seriosly, wish I checked the guild bit more out before I transferred. A friend of mine transferred first to join them, and to him it was all golden, and ofcourse I believed him. But after a week there I was starting to regret it more and more. Just glad I actually like the server and most of the ppl there.

Well, I've learned something from this. Never ever gonna join a guild before an expansion with new lvl cap again. And next time I'm sure as hell gonna find more info bout the guild :D

And yea, still a waste of 50 bucks for nothing
