Re: To any of you SKs that have managed to keep a spot in a high-end raiding guild...
I love my SK, and have held an Off Tank-MA roll with a top end guild the last two years. Unfortunetly all of our good players are going elsewhere now that the top 10 uber guilds have opened up slots for recruiting. I find myself needing a home as an SK, and I'm learning, man have I had it great the last two years.
Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and a top guild will give me a shot in the near future. It's unfortunate that SK's just aren't seen as needed by top end guilds anymore, no matter how good your gear and numbers. If you are an SK in a top end guild, don't take it for granted, you are one of the few.

Need to agree with Dark! I had exactly the same thought ... did at some point even raid in guild a with my SK and in guild b with my Brig!
However nowadays, I mainly raid on my Brig, or one of my other alts!
Raiding on my SK is pretty much over, and I fully understand why ... other classes bring much more to the table then SKs right now, sure we can get the job done, but so can other classes and at times with less effort!

But who knows, maybe RoK will bring SK's some loving. I salute the rest of the SK's who are sticking with it.

Actualy well put.
That said I'm a gluton for punishment. Been in CL sence early 05 (have taken time off here and there).
One day we'll be kings of something till then I'll take showing up the pally or Zerker every so often.

Re: To any of you SKs that have managed to keep a spot in a high-end raiding guild...
I quit the game for RL, but even when I was doing shit attendance, SM kept me on the roster and I raided whenever I wanted. Very rarely, if ever, did I have to sit out. I assume that it affected my ability to get loot, but I never knew, due to the loot system.
I had the guild mascot tag for a year, before I retired for sex.

Same here, played a sk for bout 4 years in eq1 and 2 here. Love the class, but hate the bastardized version it's been turned into.

Re: To any of you SKs that have managed to keep a spot in a high-end raiding guild...
we play this game to have fun right? then fuk what anyone says. you like sk, play sk. you want the game to be super noob easy, then play what everyone says is the "best" class for the raid. sure we could all roll alts to make the perfect raid set-up. but i think then we are missing why "we" play the game. Also with sk sta/spell dmg + buff raid wide now, the big wig raiders have alot of reason to keep us around.
