I used to play a 70 SK in the KoS/EoF days and got bored of being a mediocre tank. I know I personally was a great tank for running EoF instances but all I ever got to do in raids was....well, be there.

Are things different after Rok? I ended up rerolling an assassin and leveled him to 76ish, but RoK just kind of blew and I didn't like playing it. Are SK more accepted as tanks now? If they were I'd probably come back and level him up to 80 real quick, but I'm still not sure. Doesn't this game suck now? Like alot? I've been reading about all the bullshit SOE has been up to and it looks like everything is going down the shitter.

Also, whats the deal with our level 80 ability? I know it used to be like a self rez or whatever, was it changed? Thanks.

our lvl 80 ability heals you to 100% when u're about to die taking that health from your friends in ur raid ..

not sure how often it can trigger .. it says 1 trigger but its "until cancelled" buff so do you need to cast it again when it has triggered once .. I have no clue so someone might answer this

and as for tanking .. depends on guilds I guess .. I think SK's can tank as before but like some number staring nerds that even betray zerkers to be a guardian in this expansion makes other tanks look bad .. guardians are best tanks that's for sure but some ppl thinks that's the only tank so at least ppl around me thinks sk's sucks at tanking

class is still fun to play and I hope ppl start having some faith on us more...

Bloodletter is triggering if you die with 100% chance but it sometime can be dispelled by mobs.

I think actually that sk's are alot more better nowadays because of the extra 40 aa.

Whether we are capable tanks is always going to be debated vicious. As well as our Paladin counterparts.

But have we all not seen very poor tanks from zerkers and guardians as well? Think about it. As an assasin you are good class to have in a raid or group. How many BAD tanks have you come across?

Like any tank, SK's are only as good as the player + a side of gear = good tank. OR really bad one.

I am currently our guilds off-tank for all that we do. I have been for some time, and hope to continue my role. We have pretty much killed everything there is to kill in EoF, minus Woushi. And we have just recently cleared Teir 1 RoK.

On some raids it just doesnt seem like our MT dies, so I swap to a 2hander and different gear and crank out 2300 parses.

With gear and talent, being an SK tank isnt any harder on your healers. We have as much Mit and Avoidance as any other plate tank. The only thing we lack is a couple hundred hitpoints,the self buffs we lack. BIG deal... I heal for 250+ every hit Reaver lands on top of every other lifetap I have.

With our normal OT group set up, I am with a Mystic Templar Dirge Assassin and Illusionist.
15,800ish HP
5200ish Mit
62% avoidance Offensive stance
(I think that works for a tank???)

And with DA in the STA line, as well as Bloodletter at 80, I live longer than our MT sometimes.

Hardest Mob i've tanked so far would be the twins in korsha, not the hardest hitting mob in t8 for sure, but my health almost remained 100% with 2 healers for the one time i fought it and beat it, while the guardians health fluctuated - heh maybe i just had better healers.

I'm happy with our tanking abilities

Ive just betrayed from a Paladin to a Shadowknight and i really love the class.

Cant se why a paladin should be better. Id say the Sk is slightly better but thats just me.
Played a paladin since i started the game in the t5 days btw.

Tanked some raidcontent today and got the feeling that its easier on the Sk.
