Last night, I finally found a Shard of Fear group to obtain the 5 armor pieces for the side quest, "Dingy Little Knick Knack..." When I reached the final relic chest atop Terror's pyramid, my quest wouldn't update.

After scratching my head and cursing to myself for a few minutes, I went back to the tower that requires the two sacrifices to go beyond the fire wall. I placed the necessary sacrifices and then got my update. Someone else in the group had done so earlier, so that's how I got beyond the wall. Just an FYI if you run into a similar problem.

Managed to do the Shard of Fear part solo.

Feign Death and Divine Aura will get you the first 4 no prob. For the 5th one, I did the two ring events solo. I have mostly legendary and a few fabled items. Harm touch/Divine Aura and my unglued alchemist necklace helped out a bunch

After you get the 2 hearts to get into the ring of fire area, just run up to the top pyramid and grab the last chest, use feign death and/or divine aura to nab it easily.

Ok, I don't have any pieces that are required by the FABLED portion of the epic, as I've completed it. Do I need those pieces for the Mythical or no? The first post isn't exactly clear.

No, the pieces you need for the myth are found (note) or dropped by MMIS, Overking, Phara Dar. Don't lose them once you get them.
