For ours to be truly epic, all i would make is 1 change

Remove +100 CA in favour of 20% spell double attack

or remove the aggro clicky for 20% double attack


Hell remove both of them for 20% spell double attack

My recommendations....


1.
Change Current - 10 slashing / 8 double attack / +100 CA damage

To - 10 slashing / 5% reduction to casting speed & timers / 5% double spell attack





2.
Increase our HPs on par with the other fighter classes





3.
Add an initial proc to Splirt
or
Make the dmg rating / spread like that of a 2 hander (like mentioned before - good idea IMO)

In all honesty of the 3 effects, I don't really think any are really that amazing given a SK's role in a raid.

I guess the rescue with that 1 shot prevention clicky is nice if the MT dies, but so is rescue and bloodletter.

The hate gain effect is actually pretty cool, and I'm sure it will be great for add control on avatars and such when we'd probably need to do a lot of self healing due to the beating from several level 88 heroic adds + AEs.

Splurt is ok, but we all asked for up front damage increase, not to have our damage increase further over time. still hardly the end of the world, if this gives a god increase in damage.



Personaly i'd like to see more HP, possibly a base spell damage increase in there instead of CA damage and the clicky changed to either pure survival, or pure DPS.

i'm not so fond of a raid wide death march personally, as for all those single target raid mobs it's still very limited, raid wide or not.

Damage - The suggestion above regarding changing the Damage Spread/Delay to be more in line with a 2-Hander is a very good one.

Stats - Need to be brought into line w/ the Warrior and Brawler weapons. I'd die of shock if we got Spell Double Attack so a more reasonable suggestion would be defense and shield block (More Spell Haste does sound nice though)

Proc - Should have a damage component to it, but not at the cost of the effect. It is interesting, unique, and will be uber on fights with numerous adds.

Clicky - If we keep this ability then please up the timer, even if only to 10 seconds to fit with Divine Aura. If they wanted to change it, there are some good recommendations above.

Splurt - I think its neat but it doesn't wow me. If any of the above suggestions were implemented to improve DPS output I'd like to see this replaced with something that stands out. How about immunity to stifle, or interrupts when we are stationary

Here goes my opinion:

Make Peel 10 seconds.

Match hp/pow w/ warriors

Drop +100ca

10% DA, 10 slashing, +10 defense/+5shield , Id prefer shield block myself

I really like the spell haste idea goes with stuff already going for the class. Forget about more + spell dmg or ca dmg please. DA spell hits just arent as great as they sound.


A damage proc would be great something say Disease based. Id take a dot or dd here not picky.

I would sacrifice the hate gain for the other buffing

I have to agree a superstance buff would be nice, but Having a peel is nice as well when everything else is down. What is the recast on this?

I really expected a raidwide deathmarch. Im not that upset about it for a few reasons, but this is still a great idea in theory. Im also not opposed to extending DM to say 15,20,30 seconds. I also realize thats probally mechanicaly hard to do without us getting in trouble.

MY BIGGEST HOPE IF ONE THING COULD BE CHANGED:

I like the 1h, I really really do, esp since Ive started Offtanking for guild. What I miss is the melee dps I was doing with a 2h. Could we meet halfway here and put a nice big spread on this so we are closer to the viability of say someone with dw, or buckler spec. That with the tools we have would put us right on par with what everyone wants as a raiding sk.

When I think spell DA I think double the DoTs..That was my whole reason for wanting it
