Just so it is not asked later. I am our guilds OT on all R1 and R2 contecnt that we are currently doing. I am almost never just dps.

Current spec:
Crusader Tree
STR - 4 5 8 8 1
STA - 4 4 8 8 1
INT - 4 4 8

Shadowknight Tree:
(mentionables)
Reaver
Siphon Hate

I have gotten a mirror and able to create a 2nd spec with my current 139 AA. Looking for suggestions, because honestly, there doesn't really seem to be any class defining differences in any tree I have not gone down.

EoF tree is more or less prefrence, i haven't seen really a set way to do them... so basically take what you think would be most usefull to you and go for it.

I keep one setup with the crusader tree as follows:

STR 4-8-8-0-2
STA 4-4-8-7-2
INT 4-8-8

... and the SK tree as I normally prefer it.

My secondary setup is:

STR 4-8
AGI 4-4-8
STA 4-4-8-7-2
INT 4-4-8

...and the SK tree with Tap Arteries and Doom Aura maxed out.

The first spec is my standard setup for most raids, and the second spec is one that I plan to swap in for avatars if we ever get around to pulling any. It'd probably be nice for Overking, too, but I've been OT'ing Overking for a while now without any serious problems, so I usually don't bother swapping in the second spec since I prefer the first one for the entirety of the zone except the Overking himself.

I run basically the same setup cept i also have pools of blood in the sk tree as well as reaver, and siphon hate.

Works well for me I have ot, and mt everything up to rok t3.

I have a quick question on the Crusader tree and would like some personal experience suggestions on determining an alternate AA spec...


First off, this is pretty much my primary set up as well. Recently my guild has mentioned that I look into an alternate spec going down the WIS line for Fearless Morale. How many of you guys have done the same?


Although I do occasionally play a true OT roll, I typically find myself more in a DPS position and feel that going WIS is such a waste. In all honesty I'd rather my alternate AA line be more DPS spec'd and I just try to get my hands on a Fear immunity item. Do you guys concur with this logic?

I always keep a saved WIS end skill AA setup on my mirror for the cases where you need the fear immunity, comes in handy e.g when u fight the swashi epic end mob on that boat (although this sucker sometimes fears you nevertheless)
normally i switch inbetween a STR-STA-INT spec and a STR-WIS-INT spec, based on what I need.
but, next time I have a new cheap respec I will get a second mirror and store something like this for testing: STA 4-4-8-6-2 / WIS 4-4-8-6-2 / INT 4-4-8 (with 5 points left) or STA 4-4-8 / WIS 4-4-8-6-2 / INT 4-4-8 / STR 5-8
but I surely will miss the STR end ability

I guess the better question is what you'll be doing, sure the fearless thing is nice and all, but it also not much good if your dead as well, and in most cases, normal raid situations, you'll be getting cured, useing pots, ect. I don't know if anyone could give up DA and more hps, just to be immune to fear. I used to be spec'd wis / int back in the pre-rok days, and it wasn't bad if your in a nice hybrid group, but in turn you'll lose any ability to ever "save the raid", with the extra aa's now might be ok, but if your trying to do more dps, i'd prolly stay away from the wis tree.

Unfortunately for me I cannot really afford to spec away from my current setup to do any testing on raids, but if i ever do get offered that luxury, I surely will give them all a once over again.

yeah, u are right, WIS end ability is nothing I use very often, thats why the AA mirror is handy, you can just store a not so common spec there. 95% of the time I have the STR-STA-INT spec and never regret it

So basically there really is no reason to spec any different than what I already have?

Wisdom line is worthless, cept for Fear Immunity, which is a RARE need on specific encounters.

Agility line is worthless unless you are back in KoS where pulling 5-8 mobs at a time to clear was normal.
