guys looking for some help here, my raid wide dps in ROK SUCKS !! and I'm not sure why.

Crusader AA's are

STR 4-8-8-2-1
STA 4-4-8-8-1
INT 4-7-8

SK tree is


I now have 138 AA's with extra points in Rays, scarilege and sorrow

INT 782
STR 602
STA 600
Agi 249
Wis 149 - 250
in Off



I have 9% DA, 35% Melee Crit, 79%Spell Crit, +307 Spell Mod, 22 dps and between 14 and 35 haste depending on gear.

I've tried 1 handed with Sedition, Praetors guard and Arm guard of the farseer and also 2 handed with Spine of Scorpikis and Praetors guard but and I really hate to admit this but my ZW dps in protectors and Thuuga was way below the 2k mark

It also seems to make no difference if I spam spells and ca's or not

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, apart from being a complete noob that is

Spam but spam in clumps

group all your fast cast dmg spells together on your hot bars
group all your AE's
group your debuffs

always cast despoiling mist first, followed by group taunt (our 2 debuffs)
if your tanking follow up with single taunt, then dots (long casting timers)
then spam all your single fast casting dmg spells

rinse and repeat

I think we're highly dependat of group setup we're in .. back in eof I were rarely with bard so my dps was really low

I 100% agree with you here!

Example:
Kick, last night we did Korsha and at first the RL put me in a group that didn't support or enhance any of the SK's abilities. During that time I was in my DPS set up (everything I could get my hands on that gives +melee crit, +DA, +spell dmg and +spell crit) and was only parsing around 1400 - 1800dps. After about 5 trash kills he did some group switching around and placed me in the mage / troub group. The very next kill and there after I was parsing anywhere btwn 2200 - 2700dps.
Now I know I can get that higher but lately I've been playing my dirge so I need to get back into the groove on the SK.

IMO I would drop the 5 in mana sieve (maybe some in siphon vitae) and place those into reducing the timer on despoiling mist and possibly siphon stam / str buff.

Group set-up is huge. Get in the mage group and your DPS will go up quite a bit, all those temp spell buffs and receiving the IA/haste from the illusionist makes a huge difference.

Learn to watch what your group is casting and when. Example when PoTM and the wizard temp buff to spells is up throw up DM and unload as many spells as possible...this includes taunts. I also save Despoiling Mist for when I use DM just because it is such a long cast.

Also, unless I missed it I don't think you listed what you have your spells at. You should definitely have all Adept 3's and get any of the DPS masters you can if they are going at a price you can afford. The upgrade from Adept 3 to Master is small but every little bit adds up when you casting a lot.

What is your int and str self-buffed? Mine both sit around 680 to give you some idea. What kind of adorns do you have? If you are hardly ever doing any tanking look at putting adorns on that will raise your dps instead of increase your tank ability...this is if you truly want to maximize your DPS; however, I would not ever recommend not wearing plate because there is enough dps from plate armor imo.

I can't do this because when I get put in the mage group, the Illusionist gets put in a melee group, the troub throws a bitchfit that she isn't getting IA/haste/Feral anymore and refuses to macro PotM, and I end up being worse off than I was in an offtank group!

Sounds like when the troubadour starts being a dramaqueen you need to macro ur fd to target the troub.

Then use it mid fight a few times to give the crybaby something to really whine about.

Id like to add that even if the illusionist stayed in that group and you Should get IA over that bard. Sounds like the Troubador needs to grow up and learn about whats best for the team instead whats best for their ego on the parser.

Everything listed above is self buffed and all Spells and CA's are a minimum of AD3, I have 4 masters, Bloodletter, Siphon, Tap and M2 Strike.
I have little or no chance of getting a bard in the grp and tbh I'm usually dumped in the short bus grp.

I have +16int on ears and wrists, +12 dps on neck + 100 health on both rings, +3 haste on waist and so far T& adourn on chest plate.

I choose to spam and it does ok for me. I'd suggest rethinking the AA set up, debuffs are important when raiding, I wouldn't ignore the decay line if I were you. Better debuffs = softer mob and higher dps for your raid force over all, it's not always about topping the parse imho.

this is absolute win. you should definately FD the trouby. Show them whos the dps class and whos the support!!! lol
I haven't played my SK in T8 so I really have no other input (i fail i know)
