Are SK in any sort of better state since RoK has been released and settled into? I have a 70 SK I played in EoF and it was pretty [I cannot control my vocabulary]. I was in a raiding guild but all I ever did was hit things with a 2h weapon, do mediocre dps, and hit deathmarch. It wasn't fun in the least bit. I was rarely invited to groups to tank, sometimes to dps, but only for the instances. I'd never get invites to cmm, or unrest, I was just unwanted. Have things changed since then? I started leveling a guardian, something I wish I did from the start, but if SK are any better at this point then I'd consider just leveling from 70, since starting fresh is a bit daunting.

First off, have any of our issues been fixed or even looked at? What are the top issues right now in grouping and raiding?
Do you get invited to tank all the content people are pugging in RoK? Or are we still an unwanted class in groups?
What are the main differences right now between a Guardian and a Shadowknight?

Pretty much the same issue now as it's always been in a raid setting. Mediocre survivability coupled with mediocre dps.

Shouldn't be waiting around for invites to heroic content. As one of the best heroic content tanks, you should be making your own groups. Waiting around for group invites is for dps classes.

Main difference between a guardian and shadowknight is about 3k dps and an infinite amount of survivability compared to us in a raid setting. Other then that, we are right up there with them.

Personally I believe a well played and well geared SK is as good of a tank as a guardian in EoF and in RoK.

I have been the OT for our guild for almost a year now. I tanked every boss we could get to on several occasions in EoF. Tanked Chel'drak, TTR, MMIS, EH didn't really matter.

I have tanked every T1 and T2 boss in RoK. The only reason I don't tank Leviaton on occasion is because I am part of the bomb squad.

DPS - because I am in the OT group I am with a dirge, Inquis and a coercer. I have no difficulty parsing 3.5K+ in almost any raid zone.

And if you have the gear you can tank/dps in any single group location as well and parse 2.5k+. Guardians or Zerkers or Paladins dont really do any better than that either.

Oh, on top of if you use your lifetaps correctly you need less healing then they do most of the time in single gorup instances.

I did not have a problem in EoF. Honestly, I think there was more SK suited content in EoF.

So my answer to your question would be, no. In fact, RoK seems to have stepped more in favor of Guards.

If you want to make it as a badass SK, however, it is just as possible as it was last expansion.
