Bludwyng: Stugein asks, What, if any, incentive do you feel is there for people to use one of the precious 24 raid slots on a Shadowknight? What benefit do they bring to the table that one of the other classes can't do far better or more efficiently?

Aeralik: The primary role of the shadowknight is tanking which is why a raid should want to bring one along. Currently when it comes to tanking some classes definitely outshine the rest which is something we will be looking into. Tank balance though is more of a long term project. So don't expect anything in the next few updates but it is on our radar.

Why fix now what can be put off untill tomorrow? But seriously at least they realize there are issues, althought it does concern me somewhat that the reason there are issues is because they cause them. One can only hope for the best.

Jesus Christ, why can't they get it in their fucking heads that there's no need for 6 fucking tanks on a raid.

Guardians have been min/max since beta. I guaran-fuckin-tee you that guardians will be min/max till the servers go offline.

If the non-guardians don't get *DESIRABLE* secondary benefits useful to a raid force we're never gonna be "balanced".


We should be able to stack on a raid like every other fucking archetype:

Guardian=MT
Berzerker=OT/(T2)DPS/(Very Good)Buffs
SK=OT/(T2)DPS/(Very Good)Buffs
Paly=OT/Heal+Cure/(Very Good)Buffs
Bruiser=(T2)DPS/(Indispensable)Buffs
Monk=(T2)DPS/(Indispensable)Buffs

All this would take is a little refinement. Boost teh DPS, Boost teh buffs. This doesn't require alot of additional work as much as just small tweaks to existing shit.
  • Don't need to change encounters
  • Don't need to re-invent the wheel
  • Don't need to waste precious development hours that could be spent on truly important things like giving interviews to talk about how you don't have development hours to spend on truly important things.
Win/Win

I agree.

Maybee boots paladins survivablity to let them be able to MT more.

That way you have 1 crusader and 1 warrior MT (guard and pally)type and 1 crusader and 1 warrior offtank type. (zerk and sk)

Paladins/guards tank the big hitting single target stuff, SK/zerk tank with their powerful aoe's tank the enounters and what not.

Ammends would need a nerf to not overpower paladins.
