Well I started an SK Nov 2007, way before any rumours of an improvement to their abilities and simply because I wanted to try out the class, nothing more.
I was so impressed with the enjoyment I had playing him that I started another to do it better, just felt I had missed too many AA opportunities with Narkissa and at 80 something AP's at lev 71 I was right.
So now at 75 I am still learning loads, I would call myself a noob who needs help even though I've played two separate SK's into the 70's over the past year but that's more bacause I am from a non-raid guild and am therefore missing out on a whole worldful of the game by not raiding (any invites welcome

).
But just because I don't know everything about my toon, and ask a question here and there, please don't paint us all with the same brush. I constantly parse my dps and have never got it more than around 1k solo at lev 75 with MC gear and adIII's so I change AA's, sequence of attacks, buffs/debuffs etc and try my best to improve without pissing people off with questions but sometimes a little help is welcome. Especially for those of us in the catch 22 where no-one is interested in you as a tank/dps until you have better gear and dps, and no way to get that gear until someone is interested in inviting u to a raid.
What frustrates me is that I am always as helpful as possible to other toons where I can be, irrespective of class. Someone posed quite an interesting observation when he said something along the lines that some experienced SK's have got a significant part of their experience by learning from other players and asking questions but then flame other players as retards a number of months/years later for asking the same questions, do they have a monopoly on being helped ?
Having said that, I will always troll through the forums, guides, walkthroughs etc finding all I can before asking, and a big shout goes out to Vinladia, Rayson and Lopann for the masses of information you post trying to share your expertise, I've learned bucket loads from you.
I guess I am just asking for not all of us to be bundled together with the band wagon noobs who are just creating SK's since TSO beta, not everyone who needs help is just a cretin trying to be more uber as the game changes, some of us are just accepting the changes as they come and will persist with what is probably the most enjoyable, and challenging, class in the game for the love of the class, not because of improvements to it.
