I am nearing 70, 65 atm, and so far have followed the OP with spending 50 points in Crusader and allocating the rest in SK tree as as I get them.

When I hit 70 and can then spend 70 points in either tree should I respec and finish off the 70 points in crusader or focus on getting reaver, or respec both trees till reaver and then start on Crusader again? I think I have 62 points atm so with any luck hopefully have 70 pts soon.

Should I also start to put points into TSO tree this early, even if it's just the first line, health and power, or wait till later.

I was wondering if you guys had a suggestion of AA progression. Which lines take higher priority and which i can put off as i get higher lvl.

So from my experience so far i would suggest
-> Int 448
-> SK tree for life leaches down to Reaver
-> Stam 448
-> Str 448
-> Agil 448
-> finish up the SK/Crusader trees
-> Shadow tree

For the noob toons (or farmers), I support going down the stamina line - 4 4 8 first. When you are pulling tons of mobs at the lower levels, the extra aoe helps out a lot as well as the chance to crit multiple mobs with the aoes.* (assuming you are level 14+). SK's are AoE tanks, use what yo' mama gave ya.

After Sta, add 10 points to the Unholy Weapon and Infernal Blessing in the Reaver line. Survivablity.

I'm not sure why you'd want to get the spell crit early on, I would think after the melee crit, you'd go for double attack (double attack + crit puts down the hurt). Plus, auto-attack does more of your dps than any of our spells/ca's. If you think I'm wrong about the spell crit, please tell me why. (*one of our aoe's is spell based, so if you want that to crit, you will need spell crit)

In conclusion:

Sta: 4 4 8
10 pts to Reaver line
Str: 4 4 8 (or go endline with any number of combo's. For the soloist, I suggest 6 8 8 0 2 - respec later when you want to group and hold hate)
**Int: 4 4 8
**Finish Reaver line

**Can transpose depending on how you want to play.

I take back what I say about the aoe's. It looks like 2/3 are spell based at the lower levels.

Looking at auto attack, I'd still say that melee crit > spell crit. The combinations of which order you spend your aa are endless. I'm now thinking to do Int line before Str line. Eh. Just play how you'd want to play, at least you know the reasons why each line is helpful.

Considering the huge amount of damage yielded from procs, I'd bank on spell crit more than melee crit.

Great post very imformative,
but for other lower sk's that dont have that much aa and are not lvl 70 therefore do not get to spend 70 points in crusader and sk trees where do you think they should put their points in as they build up?

i have stopped my xp at lvl 55 and now have 74 aa.
i am lookign to respec and was looking at this post but am having trouble deciding where to put all my points seeing as i cant fill up the str line as well as getting trample and spell crit which is what i would like to do. so i am looking for some help on deciding where to put mine until i can do that.
and then therefore after that where to spend my next 24 points i have in the sk tree (after reaver of coure) and other points that i build up as i continue playing

any help or advice would be great thanks

Brass -
With 74 AA I would suggest that you fill out your first AA Tree, the Crusader Tree.
4-4-8 INT line
4-4-8-8-2 STA line
4-4-8-6-2 STR line
This setup will max your spell crit, your melee crit and your total hitpoints as well as provide you with DA and prolly more then enough hate gain with the GU51 changes. This will give you a good foundation that you may never have to change from when you hit 80.

At this point you should have 8 points unspent. I would go ahead and start your 2nd tree, prolly 5/5 in Unholy Weapon proc, the other 3 can be spend wherever.

you must remember that since i have not yet reached lvl 70 i think it is when you then gain the ability to spend 70 points in each tree i am stuck with only 50 points spendable in the crusader tree. meaning i cannot fully fill out all that you have suggested.
currently i am specd w/
str- 4-8-8-0-2
agi- 4-4-8
and am stuck with the few extra points i have to spend in that tree as i do not have enough to get enough in spell crit for it to be worth it so probably will just be ending up throwing them away for str or hate.

i had considered going w/ da instead of going for the agi line but couldnt decide which would be more useful for me.
i then put the rest of my 24 points in the sk tree filling out reaver first and now goign for more hate gain resistability in the sk tree

so until i reach lvl 70 i need advice for a spec that limits me to 50 points in each tree.
any help would be great

Dump AGI and pick up INT spell crits. Pick AGI back up when you hit 70.

Spell crits > Trample.
