i been playing my necro alot lately and its almost as bad as sk, even world wide channel is more retarded since exp came out(not as bad as sk channel but bad still)
i think just play what you want and if your good and server isnt completely retarded the noobs wont be much of a problem.

People must be realizing how bad WoW is. Unfortunately that doesn't make one any more intelligent.

Re: Gonna wait out the SK noob-fest, would inq be a good alternative?
yeah i just recently rolled up a SK and im having fun playing him. I didnt roll him because of any love he got in the TSO expansion. I was gonna be a SK before then. I played EQ2 in beta and up to the first expansion was released. I played a swash and was in the guild eternal chaos up till i quit. I am just now coming back to the game and want to play a tank and i like the darkside. So am i a newb? Yes Did i roll the char because its the flav of the month? No. Im just having fun playing it and looking forward to learning the class and want to be the best SK i can to help my guild progress.

Sure a ton of people are rolling SKs, but who gives a shit? 98% will suck as it has always been, and barely any will get into any raiding worth a shit. (Clearing VP and SoH doesn't mean shit). This is almost as bad as the whole Elder Jedi vs Respec Jedi argument of the NGE in SWG. Hell, some of the people walking around with the high and mighty attitude have actually asked the very same questions in the past.
I even remember Rayson before he got into raiding, way back in EoF, and he thought I was leet shit for MT'ing FTH (we all know how fucking easy that zone was). I also remember giving Pitty tips for DPS back in EoF, and the long ass discussions about DPS that took place in guk.sk.
The point is, it's all relative, and we were all noobs once. While the huge ass noob influx is a massive annoyance and inconvenience, it's naive to think that now that SKs are actually desireable - you can still limit it to the 10 or so SKs WW that are in a raiding guild worth a shit. Rather than wading into every single noob thread saying "LOL IM LEET I PLEYED B4 WE GOT BUFFD U DUNT DIZERV IT LUEL", just ignore the threads and the noobs will be gone by January.
Being a raiding SK was like being part of an exclusive club, and it still is. Just because a bunch of random SKs are rolling, doesn't mean shit. 97% will end up sucking and in some family guild that's still wiping on Pawbuster.

OMFG! While I agree with most of what you said, it's really arrogant to think that the only sk's that don't suck are the one's that raid. Give me a break. Most raids only take one sk and there was always plenty of decent sk's that had the time and plat to raid, leaving no room for others. I for one happen to like my family guild and don't intend on raiding with my sk. That doesn't mean I suck because I don't want to raid with my sk. I'm glad you are so fucking uber that you earned your fabled gear with the help of 23 other people. What an accomplishment! Now I raid with my necro so I am not saying it's easy but for god's sakes it's not that hard to raid if you can get into one, it's more of getting into an exclusive club than actual talent. It's not like you took out the epic mob yourself. I'd have more respect for people that tanked a hard group zone and got something fabled than those that had 4 groups killing something for the fabled. So those of you that think that raiding is the ultimate sign of uberness go fuck yourselves you're not shit. Honestly, you showed up, grats! Want a cookie? Your loot is great, you have wonderful stats and i'm sure your good at your class, but you're gear is not what makes you good at your class, it's knowing what the fuck you are doing that makes you good. Having all that fabled gear should just be icing on the cake.
