Default Gonna wait out the SK noob-fest, would inq be a good alternative?

Too many new SKs. I used to like being the red-headed step children of EQ (first toon was a SK in EQ1 day of launch)... Pretty bad when there's more SKs than Necros on Nektulos.

Now they're everywhere. Can't swing a dead cat without hitting some noob who has no SK timing and pulls like a spastic Ranger. Leveling is tit now, so that's not even an obstacle to deter the tards these days...

Would an inq be a decent substitute? I figure with the right AA's I can match my SK's dmg at least single target (and with flurry AA some decent AOE).

I hope the noobs get out of my class soon.

/nod to all you old school SKs, sorry you have to deal with the same crap I am.

Maybe, first let's go over some basic game mechanics. The aa overwhelming arms has nothing to do with aoe, being a flurry attack it strikes a single target multiple times as per the description. Fighters and Priests are inherently different so asking if Inquisitor is a good substitute for a Shadowknight is like asking if a Mystic is a good sub for a Guardian, your looking at different archetypes altogether. For a priest the Inquisitor can hold its own in dps but you would have to be one gimp ass Shadowknight to get outparsed by a Inquisitor even on single targets. But yes hopfully the noobs leave soon so knowledgable veterans like yourself can show everyone how awesome Shadowknights are.

I dunno which threads are more pointless. Re-asked questions, or topics about how the minority are butt hurt about being less of a minority.

The closest alternative to a Shadowknight is a Troubador for sure. Or maybe a Defiler.

I couldnt really care less about the plethora of new SK players, I got my masters cheap when everyone hated us haha. Most dont realise that the players who stuck with their SKs during RoK are parsing and tanking so well now because they had to work so much harder than everyone else when they were the reject class. So they will reach the cap and realise they suck at SKs as much as they sucked at their last class (most likely a butt sore brigand or guardian), dispite being theoretically overpowered.

I don't see any reason why a butt-sore Brigand would roll an SK rather than an Assasssin.

QFE. Coming from an SK that raided from mid-DoF to the end of EoF, the whole "lol I'm a vet GTFO I want the SK raiding scene to remain 10 people" are dumb. Sure a ton of people are rolling SKs, but who gives a shit? 98% will suck as it has always been, and barely any will get into any raiding worth a shit. (Clearing VP and SoH doesn't mean shit). This is almost as bad as the whole Elder Jedi vs Respec Jedi argument of the NGE in SWG. Hell, some of the people walking around with the high and mighty attitude have actually asked the very same questions in the past.

I even remember Rayson before he got into raiding, way back in EoF, and he thought I was leet shit for MT'ing FTH (we all know how fucking easy that zone was). I also remember giving Pitty tips for DPS back in EoF, and the long ass discussions about DPS that took place in guk.sk.

The point is, it's all relative, and we were all noobs once. While the huge ass noob influx is a massive annoyance and inconvenience, it's naive to think that now that SKs are actually desireable - you can still limit it to the 10 or so SKs WW that are in a raiding guild worth a shit. Rather than wading into every single noob thread saying "LOL IM LEET I PLEYED B4 WE GOT BUFFD U DUNT DIZERV IT LUEL", just ignore the threads and the noobs will be gone by January.

Being a raiding SK was like being part of an exclusive club, and it still is. Just because a bunch of random SKs are rolling, doesn't mean shit. 97% will end up sucking and in some family guild that's still wiping on Pawbuster.

prob dont matter what you pick seems like alot of noobs in general since the exp came out.

i been playing my necro alot lately and its almost as bad as sk, even world wide channel is more retarded since exp came out(not as bad as sk channel but bad still)

i think just play what you want and if your good and server isnt completely retarded the noobs wont be much of a problem.

That.

There have always been retard noob SKs, even before these changes. So play what you want, and try not to suck.
