So after using essence siphon for about a week, i noticed that it can single pull almost anything. I didn't do a ton of instances in this time, but about 4-6 were done with mainly essence siphon pulls, while body pulling between cooldowns of it.

So a few nights ago in korsha, first pull, i hit something i would normally body pull thinking essence siphon always single pulls, and the whole room came.

This was followed with "LOL NEWB TANK", and "MAN THESE NEW SK'S CAN'T EVEN BODY PULL".

So I spent the rest of the instance redeeming my initial failure. The next day I went back solo, went to the same room, same mobs, essence siphoned...and single pulled.

So now i'm confused here, and after about 30 more tests with it i see about a 40% failure rate. Sometimes I can pull a mob in the back of a room, completely single, and sometimes the whole room comes with it.

So what exactly is the deal with this ability? I'm sitting here in mistmyre playing with it on bosses and junk for fun, and again, sometimes single, and sometimes the same exact mob will pull everything.

QTF. However, the op brings up why I don't bother with pugs. Anyone who groups with me knows to expect room pulls.

That's pretty much how I play SK. If I accidentally go pull one mob, I'll rectify that shit right away with a quick train around the room.

Did you check for procs? Pretty much anything without a damage or threat component can pull singles as long as the mobs aren't linked and nothing procs. (Pure dethreats work too)

Its interesting that you mention Korsha specifically because I've noticed odd aggro while body pulling there too. Especially with the skeletons at the beginning of the zone.
