Ah, I wasn't crazy then. Thanks for all the replies and I hope they entertain the idea of a similar spell if not changing it back. I found it great in small groups as a ranged AE rescue and the afore mentioned room puller.

Yeah I was disappointed to see this change, I loved pullin groups with it. The hate increase is nice now, it definitely pulls the mobs unlike before.

Yeah after using the new sacrament it feels like how it was supposed to be all along. It actually forces me to the top of the hate list instantly even after mem wipes. Much more useful than room pulling, definitely on par with holy ground now.

I'm not a fan of the new sacrament. If you're not MTing, you really can't use it otherwise you'll gank aggro. TBH it was a decent DPS AoE before, but now you better not use it unless you want to gank.

It's kicking the ass out of Holy Ground right now, we have to cast holy ground then actually inflict damage to each target we need to snap. It has NO Max Targets. In some high end raiding, it's not easy to land a hit exactly when you need to, and it doubles the time it takes to actually get the mob back. Granted, if we're not clueless we don't also gank the named :P

It's concerning, because holy ground was our level 80 ability :P Sacrament is just your old revamped useless pet spell, lol.

Enjoy it while it lasts, and if it stays.. gratz.

You can still use it then cancel, it isn't great dps anyway (average compared to our other AE with much longer reuse).

It has advantages over holy ground that you mentioned, however HG does only require 1 hit and has a faster refresh - overall fairly even.

To be fair the description of the spell has always indicated that the spell should be aggro crazy like holy ground and reinforcement. Its just been bugged for 2 expansions.

I'm certainly not going to complain about this "new" ability, but I am concerned that it will call for more widespread nerfs to the class as a whole. While it is a nice ability, if I'd have to choose I would much rather protect the class against dps nerfs instead. Plus I miss the uniqueness of having a targettable AE. (Is the only targetable AE left in the game the rangers hail of arrows line?)

The only class this change truly affects is the zerker, as they are now the only plate tank that cannot move 24 positions in an eyeblink.
