My guild is using a SK as MT. He doesn't have DA...which I guess I could see....but it is 1 less "Oh S^&*" button...

But NO REAVER?

Assuming 2-3 Cast per Second...wouldn't that be 4-6% Total Health back a second? Not Useful?

EDIT: I should add we can't get anywhere on Raids.

Reaver is always useful. Why? Because of the 5% Base Spell Damage.

Divine aura is good, but depending on the fights I often drop it for AoE autoattack. Usually have it in raids though.

Reaver pretty much always has a net gain in health. You wont be getting 3 spells off a second constantly, but youll certainly be doing more than one spell per 12 seconds (which is what you need to cast to break even). Theres no reason not to have it since you can get all three end abilities.

No reason not to use DA on raids, very few fights make genuine use of AE auto.

If you have a MT SK that isn't spec'd reaver tho, I would honestly look for another MT.

DA is 50/50 tbh. In Tomb, AE Auto-Attack is superior. In Palace, DA is superior. In Ykesha's, AE Auto-Attack is superior. Avatars, AE Auto-Attack wins. Thus, it'd be a spec on the mirror for sure, but AE Auto-Attack is just that much better in the other zones for certain.

Yeah I don't ever spec DA...however reaver is a completely different ball game. Not only does the small lifetap make a difference in over all healing...more importantly though the hate gain of it tied with the mythical is huge. Everytime you cast a spell and you get that little lifetap it is hate to any mob you are engaged with. That is part of the key on why SK is so great.

As for the DA I can't give up the AE auto attack. Nice to see on those group fights those AE attacks going off.

I wish I could find groups where I don't need to use my DA alot so I could actually spec AE auto attack. :*(

You and me both. I am only 4 AA points away from being able to respec and pick up the shadows 15 second riposte ability. I may dump DA and pick up AE auto if that works out well enough.

Considering SK can get every endline in the Shadowknight tree not getting Reaver is pretty much a retard move.
