Default Tanking Pentaclypse Adds

So last night was the first time i ever did the pentaclypse encounter. We decided to burn down 2 of the 4 adds and just let me hold onto the 2 while penta gets burned down. It didn't take me long to figure out that these adds sucked. Group taunt + DM on pull = still no hate on me. Grave sacrament works but majority of the time i only hit 2-3 of the mobs and i have to use my myth to get the other add on me. Sneering Assault + rescue still doesn't get me aggro back when they memwipe and they seem to love my healers, beating each down with 1 or 2 shots while i use whatever i got left to grab them back.

So my question is, is there anything more i can do to get aggro back on these mobs? What's really wiping the raid is these adds getting loose and beating on the more important people (and the occasional ridiculous hit from penta, but not as much). The only thing i could think of was getting the enhance rescue in the SK AA (i already have the TSO one) to get a few more hate positions to see if that helps, and maybe making some intercede macros for the healers in my group and just try and keep them up all the time. I had a monk trying to help me, but he needs gear help so he got pwned pretty fast.

Try burn 3 of 4 adds. If only 2 tanks in raid it will be more better.

Trak shield, good AA spec and any bard it's enough for hold 1-2 adds. Rescue or DT back add in 1 sec. If not try do more dps on adds and use taunts. I never have any problem with Pentaclypse adds.

we tried burning down 3 adds, but then MT got hit for 60k from penta hehe. Trak shield would sure be nice, still working on it tho .

I use grave sacrament once they are all in camp, you should be able to get all 4 with it (don't rush). Then once you are holding them, if you have an extra tank put one on each add, otherwise you will probably lose 1 person per mem wipe cuz they tend to do it at the same time. It is about 1 minute between wipes so plan for that.

The adds also seem to have a target lock when they memwipe, what i do is, tank them at the wall by the entrance to pentaclypse's room, so when they wipe they use most of the 5 or so second target lock running toward their target allowing me to scoop them back up with relative ease.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree with Staphin on the "stickiness" of the mem wipe effect, I don't think you can do much about it other than adding another tank to help handle the adds.

I did get the AA enhance rescue in the TSO tree because other than battle hardening there were no better options. I don't think the enhancement in the SK tree will help though, extra positions only help in moving up on the hate list, it doesn't do much when you're not on the list at all.

I normally tank all the two adds by myself, on the pull tag one with a random spell/taunt, DM, wait til they're all in range, sacrament, move em away, proceed to kill two, then just rotate epic, rescue, Ht, and sneering assault(shit hit rate ftw). From what I've seen there isn't a real target lock. Rescue doesn't do shit by itself, but if you throw in a taunt or two then hit it, 90% of the time it'll go back to you, at least in my experience.

As for the memwipe timing, I've seen it pretty variable between the two, anywhere from 2 seconds after each other to 30 seconds, it really seems random :/

Yeah the reason you dont see the stickiness of the adds is because you tank them back by the wall, the memlock effect only seems to last a few seconds, so if they have to run to thier target, by the time they get their you can snap em back. its not confirmed that have a memlock, but it does seem that way if you tank the adds too close to the rest of the raid.

I tank em about 5-10m from where the raid is standing.

A single SK can certainly pull this off, but if you have a third tank, just park them next to each other and coordinate your snaps, along with hitting the other mob, while one is beating on you. The last time we killed it, me and a monk had no issues holding 2 adds, and just swapping aggro with each other and they didn't run off and smack the squishy's at all.
There does appear to be a target lock, but with two tanks in the same proximaty as the raid, it wasn't a problem at all.
