Re: Shadowknight CA Rotation
Depends on the scenario.
In a raid scenario, we have another SK who handles Devouring Mist & Blasphemy (and tends to Doom Judgement early if there is a removable damage shield on the mob) I tend to OT so I try to keep my hate low and dps high. So unless I'm paired with a brig (with TG on me) I go with:
Essence Siphon -> Dreadful Wrath -> Shadow Coil -> Mana Sieve -> by then mob is typically in melee -> Swift Attack -> Unending Agony -> Pestilence -> Death Cloud -> Devour Vitae -> Malice -> Siphon Strike -> Tap Veins -> Doom Judgement -> Cleave Flesh -> Painbringer -> Legion Smite -> Soulrend -> Hateful Slam -> Hammer Ground.
If I have TG on me though I'll make sure that keeping up mist and blasphemy is a #1 priority.
The one thing not listed in this setup is the single target taunt, insidious whisper...I basically use that asap whenever I see a PotM or PoM call because its near-instant casting time makes it perfect for procs.
The time I throw death march+death touch can vary, but usually I do it right after Swift Attack. Sometimes I have to delay DT if the MT is struggling with aggro. But I try to keep the timing of death march consistent so the rest of my group can plan ahead their own temp buffs accordingly.
In a group scenario I tend to pull with essence siphon and devouring mist. I try not to pull with dreadful wrath because the snare can slow things down. Generally I only use essence siphon once per encounter to ensure it comes back up quickly. If pulls are going more quickly I'll start charging everything with anything we can cast on the run -- taunts, doom judgement, even hammer ground. Otherwise the rotation is pretty much the same, although I'll skip long dots if the mobs are dying fast.
The AE rotation isn't very different than the single target rotation, you simply bump all the AEs to the top in the order that they are in the single target-rotation. Theres only two other adjustments: I have 5set T4 armor, so Devour Vitae is moved above Dreadful Wrath in an AE scenario, and Hammer ground is left at the bottom rotation.
