I hate to admitt it, but I spam my spells and CA's. I would like to break this bad habit, especially after I obtain my fabled and mythical versions of our class weapon. Other than attacking my guild's training dummy and trying to time my auto attacks from that, is there any other tips from you veterans to improve my abilities in this area?
Also, my main weapon right now is the incarnadine flamberge (4 sec delay). Is there any other weapons that would be better until I earn my mythical? Keep in mind that I'm in a small guild, so raiding is pretty much not an option. I do have four lootrunner toons that bring in some coin, along with my main. So buying something is doable. One or two grouping is also doable. I understand that I want a weapon with a long delay. I would also like to try to still have one with STR & INT on it like my flamberge.

Use a custom UI with an auto-attack timer. Or ACT with auto-attack timer. But otherwise as someone said in another thread...

When you have you epic and enough AA's, 3 abilities is the average you will be able to fit between auto attacks, even when haste is capped in a group setting.

This is indeed similar to another thread and there I posted one possible option too.

Put all your CA's and Spells on a single macro and spam one hotkey instead.

Thanks for the helpful posts all! Just one more thing. Is there an attainable weapon that will be an improvement over my incarnadine flamberge until I can get my fabled/mythical class weapon?

timing autoattacks does not matter if you are not min-maxing its only to increase
and your post does not sound like you are.
it matters even less until you have a really strong weapon (mythical)

yeah what schafott said, timing auto attacks is pretty pointless until you get a strong weapon, and no there really isn't many options outside of the fabled / mythical

I was using LootDB.com | EverQuest II Item Database - Suffragan's Axe of Destruction out of Necrotic Asylum before I got my Fabled.
