its only better once you can get the Knight's Stance AA in the shadows tree, i think you need 125 AA total to get it.

yeah, right now, you can get 25% dmg output from an AA ability if you have a sword/shield. And with the dmg rating from the Mythical weapon and that AA, nothing else is better. I heard of some Avatar 2 hander.

But i cant touch the DPS my myth+Deepwater Barrier can do.

ok, i guess i will use the sootfoot hammer legendary weapon when i hit 55 instead of my 52 MC two hander. Any idea's on a good shield for a level 55 sk?

by the time you find one you think is good enough you'll be lvl 62 so imo just keep rolling until you hit high 60's low 70's then start farming for gear or getting people to make you some

yeah pretty lame that sword and board DPS is higher then when you do 2hander.... Why allowing SK to use 2hander if it is not going to be supported ?

In EQ1 when I'm not tanking I go 2hander and try to DPS (if EQ1 SK damage can be called DPS).

Kinda stupid to make a single weapon style the best at defence and the best at doing damage.

Kiss DPS good by for fighters in this everquest tbh. I played SK in eq1 for 5 years and sk in eq2 for 5 years now. the SK in eq1 was a much more versatile class, and while it wasn't a great class for raiding, they could hold their own with dps, or tanking for the entire time i played that game. Sk in eq2 started out in the right direction, and the game as a whole was really great as well, unfortunately somewere along the way the devs got lost. Reguardless even after all the push back and negative feedback GU51 on testserver brought to the dev team, they have decided to go head with the WoW expanssion and force the fighter changes as part of the new Xpack. As stated from the mechanics panel at FF,

FIGHTERS:

•Balancing will come to focus more on hate gain and defense. Improvements are to be made to taunts and defensive stances. The focus is on tanking instead of DPS.

•Block and deflection will be consolidated.

•Brawlers will receive an advantage to avoidance buffs.

Just a heads up in case you didn't know.

But on the bright side Aion is in beta now i hear

Because they are getting away from making 2 handers. The only real people that used them were crusaders. Since all the other tank classes can dual wield, they gave us this AA line to kind of even it out. For there to be a viable 2H option it would have to also have a 6 second delay but the spread would have to be amazing and it would need some beast proc/stat modifiers to be considered.

The only thing that would have had the potential to meet these requirements would have been new Avatar 2 handers and very few people that play would ever be able to get them so I assume they just said fuck it and did away with them all together.

This way is a little easier cause you can dps with your shield so you dont have to macro in and out weapon changes if you need to grab the mob......
