The sticky was very informative about the AA and wich one to get or not based on a player gameplay.

But I am wondering wich one should I got first ?

1) Tanking spec: Was tinking about going down the crusader line first and pick up the STA line. But then again at low lvl. Do I realy need mcuh more defence of should I go for bether DPS so higher aggro and go the str or int line ?

2) As for soloing I was thinking about maxing the life tap proc then going down the str line. is it the best thing to do ?

3) For tanking pre lvl 60. Should I use a tower shield or going 2handers ? Should I go on DPS or def stance ?

I'm asking because I hear people saying they don,t sue shield nor def stance when they tank 6man group.

To be honest you wont get much more bang for your buck from two handers at low levels as a SK, so you might as well use a sword and shield, which will be better once you get knights stance anyway.
Two handers shine when you have high melee crit, like healers can get easily, but since youll be pretty low on melee crit as a SK until you are 70+ its not worth it.
Druuna is right with the AA priorities.

I have been messing around with a level 40 sk alt recently. I went 448 int first and just finished Reaver. It's a beast spec for soloing and grouping from what I have seen so far. Both lines help with both offensive and defensive abilities so you don't really have to choose which way you want to spec. Spell Crit obviously increases damage, but it also boosts heals. Reaver has the life tap and the base spell damage.

That's how I spent my first 38 AAs anyways and I am happy with it so far. Planning on spending the next 24 to max Str. Haven't really decided from there.

The Hate line would probably be the most useful for grouping. Plus it will let me respec my Reaver tree bypassing some of the less useful prereqs. If I am soloing and/or questing allot I'd knock out the first 2 TSO lines. Mount speed would help with questing and Battle Hardening should be pretty useful solo. If you're at 70 at that point Sta might be the way to go.

Like I said, it's an alt and I don't claim to know much about SKs, but so far so good. Best advice is to get a general understanding of the bonuses from each tree and figure out which ones will benefit you the most based on your play style.

I may have gone a little different then the most in my spec, but it seems to be working well for me right now. I did blow my free respec though since I screwed the pooch on the first go. AKA beforeI found this site. At this point I am level 45, and have 43 AA's.

4-4-8 Int
4-4-4 Str (this is what I am working on now)
5 in Enhance Unholy Arms
5 in Enhance Life Pact
5 Leach Touch

Reason I went a bit deeper into the SK tree is because I enjoy to solo, and having any extra healing is nice. And the extra crit from the Int branch is just OMG sexy. The healing bonus and almost critting ever single spell is just a nice boost to DPS. Figure once I finish the Str line I will have 10 points to drop in Sta, for the knockdown AoE as well as getting some extra melee crit. Pre 70, so I only have 50 points to drop.

That is the best advice ever. The reuse on STR is just amazing, and Reaver is just a so nice, getting heals off your spells, and hell even off your lifetaps.

Heck right now I am working on getting the timer on DeathMarch quicker myself, then after that maybe Hateful Slam or go back and pick up trample... Level 63 with 70 AA points as of last night.
