Default Non-raiding shadowknight advice

I have a level 58 shadowknight http://eq2players.station.sony.com/c...rId=1041976206 that I duo with my wife who has a level 55 warlock. In the beginning it was tough not having a healer when we would crawl dungeons. As we have both leveled and gotten new abilities and AAs it has worked out to be a fun duo.

Because of not having a healer class I would try to stay in str/sta/int mastercrafted from the broker. At level 52 though there was no str/sta/int MC on the broker. Which was not a real being deal as we were still playing around in Sol Eye and doing quite well. Jewelry hasn’t been to big of a problem as the drops from lavastorm were nice upgrades.

Now as I approach 62 I still see no str/sta/int MC on our broker. My question is do shadowknights around my level change what they focus on for gear? Understand I’m not looking to raid but still want to do heroic stuff like we have been.

Also when it comes to AAs, I did INT 4-4-8 for the spell crit, STR 4-4-8-6-2 for cast/reuse, and working on getting Reaver. After that I plan to go down the STA line 4-4-8-8-2. Anything I should be on the lookout for or not bother with since I don’t plan on raiding?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Default Re: Non-raiding shadowknight advice

Go for Divine Armor (or w/e it's called), I can't remember which line that is offhand ( at work ) but it'll definitely help in that scenario.

Sounds like you're on the right track though, and no our gear focus doesn't change much. The only difference is whether you're going for raid tank gear or just instance gear. Since you're not raiding, then you'll be going for instance-type gear which is usually T2 armor + spell / combat art mod / crit gear.

For certain instances, it doesn't hurt to have a pure defense set ( parry, defense, deflection etc ). A good example is Lower Corridors in Guk and Outer Stronghold in Guk. Some of the named in there hit fairly hard.
