Currently got back into EQ2 with a friend of mine and we both decided to dual box this time around. He is running a SK/Templar setup and I have been rolling around with Dirge/Warlock. I was curious if there was something that would better compliment the group then the warlock. We are only level 32 so catching another character up wouldnt take long. I'm just wondering if we need more survivability or not? Any suggestions?
*****Ended up going SK/SK/Templar/Dirge and for the most part its working really well. We are more of the slow and steady group though and that concerns me. I feel like were going to need a bit more DPS as we get into the higher levels to burn the targets faster as opposed to trying to heal though them and outlast.
My question now would be... Would we benefit more with my buddy going templar/DPS (prob assassin) and me staying SK/dirge?
I could also dump my SK for a DPS/dirge as it would be easier for me to micromanage dps/debuffs and him to micromanage his aggro and heals on himself.
A scout would work better than the warlock since you're running a dirge. Also has a lot more survivability so you have more time to save yourself which you may need since you're dual boxing.
SK/Dirge/INQ/Swash
SK/Inq/Warlock/Troub(or illy) would be uber
or just:
SK/SK/SK/SK ... tbh thats not a bad combo.

I 3 box SK/Dirge/Inq.. and its a bad-ass combo. I would definatly go Inq for the healer, and dirge for the bard. With an inq melee spec'd, and punishment line, along with a dirge for accuracy and stoneskin song, you really wont require many heals, and you will get solid dps from the healer. For the 4th class, it all depends on how well you 2 box. I would say an easy combo might be to add in a ranger, since they will do solid dps, take advantage of the dirge buff, but also wont require you to manage to keep 2 toons in melee range, which is a pita.
