might i add, if you dont have siphon hate you prolly want too respec your sk tree. i was almost ready too roll an sk over a zerker when i saw what they got in eof tree due too my love of my pal but wanting better soloability and not wanting too betray. as for the siphon tho, its an amazing ability and i can tell you one thing, hate transfers of any type just own, period.

Assuming everyone in your group is playing their class to its fullest, 3% * 5 could go a long way.

Even with really slack numbers, like everyone, including a slack SK is producing only 1k hate. It would drop everyone elses hate to 970 and the SK up to 1,150. This numbers would be more than doubled in a raid situation, but it really does mean that having a SK with siphon hate groupd with a healer that does NOTHING other than press heal buttons after someone gets hit is screwing with their hate. But having a healer like that is already screwing with the raid.

I do think it could do with 3% being changed to 4 or 5, or keep the siphon at 3% but make it lower your groups hate generation by a greater value.

My main issue with siphon hate is the AAs that lead up to it. rescue is a waste of points, and the two resist reductions... erm sure makes a huge differance. so death march is great, whatever the hell the shield bash is called is quite a nice improvement, but Caress improvement is also of questionable use / benefit unless you need more agro when tanking 10 heroic green mobs as you train through SoS helping someone's alt get an update. leaves you with 10 well spent points and the rest being somewhat useless.

While i'm having rant, pools of blood is a joke, make it a group buff and at least SKs might be slightly more useful in a mage group on AE heavy fights. the buff has little to no use for a tank, to a squishy however, it can be a life saver. With my Illusionist the amount of times i die due to a very low HP margin of about 50-200 HP beyond my happy purple zone.

Pools of blood is not a joke for the only 1 point that it costs. Its saved me from death so many times since I spent the point on it (I spent 20 in that tree anyway so I didnt go out my way to get it) that its been WELL worth it.

Compared to reaver and the benefits it gives...

if you already spent 20 points in that tree, sure, but as an end ability, it's not worth the effort unless you have a point floating around.

Of course Reaver is the better choice, I already had Reaver and already had 20 points spent in the decay line so the extra point for PoB was well worth it after watching the countless times I should have died but didnt. I have both Reaver and PoB.
