Need SK pimp advice!

I've come to realize that I suck horribly on my conjuror alt, and rather than dedicate months to upgrading my conj from treasured/crafted to raid gear, it would be much better for everyone if I switch to my SK for our alt guild.

How bad do I suck on my conj? Well, I can do about the same dps on the conj as I can on my SK

So obviously, I suck less on the SK than on the conj.

My main for raiding in my main guild has always been my defiler. I've never claimed to be best in game on that toon, but I have always felt more naturally skilled on my defiler than on any other class. My main problem is that playing a healer at raids, you really don't need to pay attention to how the encounters work like you do on a tank. On a healer, if both you and the tank you are healing survive the raid, you've pretty much done your job. So learning to raid on a tank after playing a healer for several years is not intuitive, it's an entirely different skill set and requires a lot of relearning.

Anyway, I'm looking for the following infoz:

-My left side gear isn't too bad, I realize there are some better items in game, but there are definitely worse geared SKs in game that raid. I'd like some suggestions on obtainable replacement gear - especially stuff that can be made with EH drops, droppable items I can buy (plat is no object!) etc.

-I consider myself pretty good at 2 and 3 box farming on my SK, which is how I've used him for the past two years. This originally was my main, but I haven't raided on him since T5 really. So my question is, what exactly does a raid SK do? Based on my guild set up, I will be the 3rd to 4th tank at raids.

Thanks for your advice, feel free to call me a nub, question how it is that my toon is geared as he is yet I still am inexperienced raiding on him, etc. Consider this an open invitation and field day to tell me I suck, I really don't care, I just want to learn how to be a good raider on this toon. I feel no shame about admitting my shortcomings for the purpose of improvement.

Is avatar/set gear an option?

If not, your best bets are the ring off of malkonis' head(or the wuoshi heart one) and the chel'drak's ring, the wrist off wuoshi's heart and the crafted bracelet from wuoshi scale. I would maybe grab a tactician's symbol for your ranged slot for the extra HP. You definitely need two new earrings for tanking, I suggest clay fired bangle off Prince THernig and the Grim Earring of the Night off instance mayong. You might also look into getting the necklace off contested mayong's turn-in, but I imagine that might be a ways off.

with LU 36 2h will be more viable for DPS without gear switching, with mainly weak 2h's available other than AoW axe you'll probably be hard pressed to find something decent though (dont think SKs can use staffs).

You might wana get yourself a bark of growth for some leaf bracers. a wuoshi scale or two for a wrist item and mebies a shield (duno if the shield effect works with reaver, we got our first shield recipie today after hoever many months of wuoshi kills, and we STILL don't have a jewler book. 923724 shit tailor recipies though).

Tanking hasn't really changed much except adds are a big thing with contested as im sure even the most single minded healers can't miss. So as always with a SK, just DPS hold agro nd keep the squishies safe. practice chasing DM and pestilence together, especially if you ever get used on avatars.

after LU 36 best AA setup unless anything was changed would probably be AGI/STA/INT 448 all the way with a 5th in hammer ground. 40% AE auto attack too good to pass up tbh.

there is a good neck that is better than MoA from unrest, tradable. sorrow song chocker. there is a fabled version from EH too i think (melee and spell crit together). should get yourself a ring of the four winds too, always handy for spell spam.

can't think of much else...

I just can't agree on hammer ground. I am going to have to parse alot but the crit just isnt enough to give up all that haste. IMHO. You allready have a awsome axe but I really don't see anything one handed better than the mayong hammer. Double attack FTW. Also a scale bow is easy to get can have a dps mod put on it, and that is a ton of range damage you can throw down if you get kicked back turn on the bow and pop of 6-7k to try and get it back quick. I will start out with STR 4 5 8 AGI 4 4 8 and INT 4 4 8 at the lu release parse for a few week and go from there.

Avatar and Mayong adds aren't stun immune (they aren't immune to any CC infact), this was my only reasoning in all honsty.

That and i regularly find myself over hasted. Planar Axe of Power dropping its delay to 1.1s at times... just seems a waste of swings to be going that fast. Perhaps with a much slower weapon, around 3-4s delay haste would again be more worth while.
