yeah .. our taunts blows balls ...

and if its easy zone like nest or something I'll be on offensive so no agro probs and usually in eof instances like valdoon oob I'll be on offensive but names I'll tank in defense or if I get adds I'll switch to defense

I'll have macro that switches shield and defense stance on and same for offensive and 2hander (wich is soulfire Longsword now btw) that hits quite hard.. so keeping my dps in about 1.5k on offensive I usually don't have agro issues .. but on defesive it drop like 800-1k so usually only death march keeps them on me

P.S I know soulfire one hander kicks ass on tanking but I don't tank a lot and I have 1hander from Chel'Drak so its not that bad one either

Are you sword and board in Def stance? if yes then it dose not suprise me an Assin at 3k dps in a group is stealing and holding agro.

Try it again in Off stance with a good wepon set up, probly be a world of diffrance.

It ciould be that there are only 2 people in your group. with only 2 DM wont do too much for ya since it procs off of each member of your group. therefore the more people in your group the more hate DM will getcha.

Yep im having the same problems - especially with swashies, assasins and even our bruiser since the lastest update

Our taunts suck shit full stop - we have to be getting hit to kind of hold aggro, but when bruisers and swashies let loose within the first ten seconds like any normal raid does - i will lose it
i usually cast DM within the first 5 seconds of tanking, as it gives me time to land a few taunts and get hit some.

But yeah im really getting sick of this shit - after 3 years of playing eq2 and 520+ raids, when is it gonna be our turn to have something fucking usefull ??

Hopefully with Lockeyes departure, someone will give SK's a once over and give us something fucking usefull for god's sake please !!

On another note, what about the Avatar fights, you seriously think were going to hold aggro on mobs that spawn every 30 seconds, with the raid nuking thier hardest to keep up with the spawns? NO WAY POSSIBLE, DM is a 2:30 recast (at best) how is that usefull ?

Pali Amends shits on anything we have to offer, SK hate is a joke 3% of group hate is totally useless, its good against a single mob over time we will eventually get aggro. But all our spells and skills are OOE AE why dont we have the taunts to accompany our skills ? it makes no sense

this is my current setup .. I took haste cos I have 6s delay 2hander

yeah I feel so helpless too very often if rescue death march or pestilent touch is not available .. only shield smash and kick+taunt does something but often nothing happens

our siphon hate should change to 10% at least .. that might be even felt somewhere

with 2hander and offense stance I keep agro a lot better than shield+def stance .. just shame as my avoidance drops from 7k to 3k (can't remember the %'s right now) when switching to 2hander+offense so healers need to do their job well

use CoF or get the 20 haste rapid handle for your 2h, putting aa in str instead of sta is a waste imo, you dont get any crits so its useless to have the 2h without having it crit for huge amounts of damage... Id post my setup but im at work atm so my eof tree is a no go, but heres the crusader tree im using atm, works quite well, all the crits for dps, and hp and divine aura for tanking.

I had the exact same setup Pity had, with the 4 4 8 agi, sta, and int but i felt i lost too much tanking ability with the addition of a miniscule amount of dps from agi... i notice about the same (maybe 50-70 dps less ) dps with my current setup and i get the tanking benefits from a full sta line. A bit unusal setup but i find it works quite well for dps and tanking (mind that your swapping out gear and stances for the application).

My SK has had that same set up for about to LU's now. i've used a few respecs but i'm happy with that setup.

if i went to unrest and CMM more id probably drop agi for wisdom, as our hit% in def stance sucks.

can't say i've ever had much trouble with agro. my SK is an alt (used to be my main during KoS and early EoF), tanked princes yesterday and never lost agro to anything other than another tanking hitting rescue/reinforcment.

not really spent much time with an assassin though, could there be an issue with siphon hate and agro transfers?

hrmm lfg i see what you mean, not sure if recent agro changes did anything, but our assassin was peeling like a bitch today (tanked HoS) i got it back right away, but it was a constant fight for agro, possibly something wrong with hate xfers, not sure...
