Just thought i'd post in here and see what ppl are doing now. Kind of a necro post, but after searching for over an hour for a thread related, this is the best i've got. What are ppl doing and what are their results, I've got an SK i've had on standby for a few years now that i've kept decently geared and i'm lookin to bring it out of retirement.

debuffs/taunts, dots, then all the straight up dmg.

rinse and repeat

In raid that is.

Mine is similar except i lead off with the attack that boosts attack speed by 30 (avenger line, forgot the name) to kick start my auto attack between debuffs. If im tanking i lead off with the three main tannts.

despoil as soon as mob is in range, chastisment, essence siphon, painful aura, coil, (dispatch hits) wrath, mana siege, contagation, siphon vitae (with tso 4set), siphon strike, malice...

if i dont have 180+ haste with chimes up i hit swift attack right after chastisment
if dm is up i usually cast it very early (~wrath)

pitty you should rearrange your macros to fit your order

Dunno how yalls MT's pull, but I'll usually run out with the tank and get off Despoil, Siphon STR on the inc so I dont bother with those casting times during combat. When you are talking over 8k dps, squeezing anything prior to engagement will give you a considerable bonus. Then I jump on the mob like its a free hooker.

...follow up with the haste atk, which starts my autoatk, then agony and sac... By that time dispatch has landed, then DM followed up by all my spells in between autoatks. Don't really have an order... just go by feel.

The timing of POTM and Chime can also twist my stuff around... I usually have a good feeling when they are coming up so I know if I need to reserve different stuffs or not.

Having ACT and a G15 helps too!

yeah i've tried to rearrange them before, it just feels odd, because ive had them in the same general location for years.

like my taunts always on the top right heh

Casting order is not nearly as important as timing your castings so they do not push your auto attacks off timer. Download ACT is a must for any serious melle class that plans to DPS. I did not believe this myself until I actually did it and saw my parse jump from 1700 to 2100 at 80 to 2800 to 3500 now regularly in groups while tanking or not.

Pfft just put all the stuff on one hot key, put one of those birdy wobble things next the keyboard and afk.
