Default The official MLB playoff thread:

This is the place to put all those predictions that you're going to look back on in a month or two and say "Jesus, what the fuck was I thinking?"

Is your team in? Knocking on the door? Choking on a big 'ol dick? (*cough*mets*cough*)

    Prognosticate away! And Go Yanks!

    My Yankees Prediction:

    ALDS: 3-0 over Cleveland

    ALCS: 4-2 over Anaheim

WS: 4-1 over Arizona (Vengeance baby!)
    :40:

PS - World Series MVP: Joba Chamberlain

is that the same Anaheim team that beat up on the Yanks like they stole something in the regular season?

Aside from the fact that the regular season means very little once post season play begins, let's delve a little deeper into this "beat up" claim.

The Angels swept the first meeting between the two teams in a 3 game series at the end of May, which pretty much marked NY's lowest point in the season. That's whent we were like 8 games under .500 and 14.5 games out of first place.

Since that time, they have the best record (by far) in baseball. Also since that time, the two teams split their remaining six games, hardly what I'd call "beating up on them".

But, yeah, that same Anaheim team.

I am a Mariners fan, and my team choked down the stretch to blow a fucking 3 game wild card lead.

But as for the remaining teams, I think that Boston is going to win. Even though Boston fans annoy me just as much Yankees fans, I cannot deny that beckett, shchilling, and Dice-k add up to a very powerful post-season rotation.

Schilling and Dice-K are weaksauce. I don't think the Sox have a prayer against Anaheim.

    oh yeah' almost forgot...

    Memo to Mets fans:

If you in any way gave a Yankees fan shit earlier in the year when the Mets were in first and the Yanks had a double digit defecit, or have ever claimed that you'd take Reyes over Jeter "any day"...

    ....HAHAHAHA - go fuck yourself.

    I love this game!

I don't have any predictions as I've only been a Cardinals fan for the last 20 years or so that I've been able to watch baseball. I couldn't give a shit less other than that, however, I love watching baseball, and will likely watch most postseason games.
