But don't bother, Im sure that there are no similarities what so ever in the way auto, home, or medical insurance premiums for, and claims against policies are handled.

It actually is a kind of a stupid comparison, because the only legally mandated is liability for other people. An appropriate analogy involves comprehensive auto insurance only.
