Little bit of a long read, but found it was very good. For the TL;DR crowd (And for deson because I know he needs a summation)

Conservative party has been hijacked by crazies like rush limbaugh and faux news, is actively working against it's own long term interests and doesn't realize it.

The source doesn't make his points any less valid, imo. I've even listened to rush limbaugh and would even agree with glenn beck if he decided to make sense.

It does when you consider the guy making it vs. the point being made. This is something he was a part of. He's talking about a change he helped cement as though it were some big generational change and not something that was already in place even as he "grapples"with his role in it. If you know the man's work and know the situation already, he's just not worth reading. If you don't know him, people who do should steer you away from reading his work.

As to your earlier comments pertaining to a civil and repeated request here that people trying to make points excerpt and post something about the articles they link, it's not like you've been singled out. We've been asking people to do it for years and most people do it. We asked Gori to do it and he understood, no reason you can't do the same.

Idk, I would think having a place in it would give you even more credence and have a "he knows of which he speaks" air to his pieces. Kind of like those people who have been in cults or scientology and then blow the lid of the BS.

The second part I was just fucking with ya. I can understand how a random link and no context doesn't go over well with some. Although in my defense I'm not posting shit that is going to send you to some eastern european midget bestiality site, so usually SFW content. I also try and generally post either a comment to give you some clue as to what the gist of the article is, but I can see posting an excerpt of said article might help more for some.

I'll admit, its fun watching the libtards grasp at straws trying to spin this in their favor. The republicans even offered them tax increases, and the idiots slipped their heads right into the noose by rejecting it.

Repealing the automatic triggers would be a huge mistake. Since there are no actual cuts, the only possible outcome of a repeal is that you take a black eye for voting for it and prove to anyone who had any doubts that the country is run by some arrogant, spineless pieces of shit that need to be flushed.
It's only weird if it doesn't work.
