Lore Recruiting Raiders

Lore a casual raiding guild located on Splitpaw Server is looking for more players to bolster our ranks. We are rebuilding and have reset our DKP points so get in now on this ground floor opportunity! Here are some benefits we feel we can offer to casual raiders who want to raid with serious intention.

Three Day Raid Schedule - We would love you to raid the full three day raid schedule but we will only expect you to make a minimum of two days per week. Raid days are Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 7PM UK time prompt.

Monthly Plat Split - Once we have rebuilt and are killing monsters on a consistant basis we will implement a monthly plat split to our members. Earn DKP spend it on loot and get a monthly paycheck!

Team Environment - Not only do we want to proegress as a raid force we want to quest, terrorize group instances and just have all around high end adventuring.

Non-Elitist Mentality - Most of us have who have raided or played this game long enough have come across people who either are rich, unemployed, live with mom and dad and have all the time in the world to camp at their computers and grow their e-peens to unnatural dimensions. We wont be around these kind of people and dont expect you to either. We have jobs and when we arent working and have time to log in we just want to kill monsters in Norrath.

Zero DKP Balances - Ever join a guild and take a minute to look up your guildys DKP balances? Dont you love that sinking feeling you get when you realize its going to take multiple months to even have half a chance to bid for loot? Lore is a 60 plus level guild with all current members with a ZERO dkp balance.

Since we are rebuilding Lore we will take a good hard look at just about any class. What we are looking for are good attitudes above all. In particular however and I know these players dont grow on trees I would like to put out the word for a Guardian. You could either be a long standing veteran taking solace from hardcore raiding or a new up and comer looking for an opportunity to test his/her metal.

Now THIS(!) I just have to comment ROFL!

Back in the days, I joined Lore. It was a semi-new guild (like 3-4 months old?), so I thought all would be fine.

They had a nice DKP system, but something made me wonder... Guild had only been existing x months but several members (alot...) had like 200+ (?) DKP... Now, this wasn't possible with their raid schedule - not by any math known to man...

I, ofcourse, objected to this. Explanation I got was; "Well, we were alot of raiders from Blacksteel Highlanders who started this guild, so, we transfered our DKP"...

I were like: "WTF!?? You can't do that..!" Reply was: "Yes, we can and we did. End of discussion."

So, I ofcourse wanted my DKP from both Mighty Danes and Virtue transferred ( my old guilds, like 300 DKP) - that would only be fair since people from the guild Blacksteel Highlanders could transfer..?

Just a funny little anecdote about Lore's way of looking at things

Yeah - Good luck rebuilding. How the hell did you get people to agree to a dkp wipe? I wouldn't dare suggest such a thing.

You know Stromgaard im not going to get in a flame war by any means. Im sure I would get pwned anyways. But for people who might be looking for a new start or looking at us I feel compelled to just say a few things.

1) Yes I think we didnt handle some DKP balances from transitioning from old guild to our newly formed guild. And no it wasnt as severe as Strom here is saying. We were raiding as a stand alone guild FOR MONTHS as Lore. Not 3-4 months Fouk either quit lying or get your facts straight. Damn I cant even remember how long we were raiding but it sure as hell was longer than 3-4 MONTHS buddy. Hence it was just too messy to tell all of the Lore raiders again who were raiding FOR MONTHS that hey man im gonna wipe your DKP to zero because a few new addtions were calling foul. Again let me say I should have done a better job with it all but it sure aint as bad as Fouk is portraying it all.

2) And your just a funny way of anecdoting Lores way of doing things? Dude you make me ROFL. BTW everyone all of these comments are coming from a Guardian who was put on top priority for any tank upgrades that might drop. DKP wasnt even really applicable to him. Our rules were any meaningful tank upgrades go to the tank for minimum DKP. Even furthermore me the Guild Leader who also was at the time a Guardian let Stromgaard take first pick over any tank drops. Open up your inventory buddy see your howler buckler? Think I sent you a tell and said go ahead buddy Lore needs you upgraded. wasnt that your first EOF loot? It would have been for me and man I wanted that drop as much as you.... YOU HAD ANY LOOT YOU WANTED AND YOU KNOW IT. Wow just wow.

3) Finally let me say again yes I could have managed DKP better back in the day. We learn from our mistakes and dont make them again. Just couldnt sit here and let Stromgaard take a cheap shot from the bleachers. And with our retool and rebuild we damn sure arent going to make any more mistakes like we did in the past.

As most of you were raiding together in Blacksteel Highlanders for quite some time I couldn't care less if you transfered your dkp to the new guild. I mean, who cares? Was the same people.
You formed it, you make the rules.

Anyway, i have fond memories of wiping in Labs and Lyceum playing my fury Serenissima in some BH raids. Wow... been some time. ;)

And in final passing let me say Strom is a skilled player, still is a skilled player and was a decent stand up guy in Lore. He got a little high and mighty when it came to the DKP issue but /shrug I felt he was coming from a position that he felt strongly about and we let him make his points in our internal forums. We and in particular myself always had an open ear and open communication with him.

And really all we care about is finding others that want to help Lore kill monsters. This is about killing monsters and having fun and making friends. So to get back from the derail...

Hehe, yes, I felt very strongly about the DKP issue. As you said, it didn't affect me - it affected all the members who joined Lore and hadn't been in BSH, that's why I objected.

I did not lie, nor claim facts, hence my "?" after the amount of months and DKP.

Furthermore, you actually told me that it was correct back then and that you saw my point but that you couldn't and wouldn't do anything about it.

I really mean it when I wish you guys the best of luck Shad, I truely do. I hope you succeed and get the boat a float again.
