I agree with what Mirdo says.
Hardcore raiding imo stands for priorities. No matter what, you try to get control of a contested mob even if that means your rl has to step aside for that. A guild that is willing to get a raidforce together outside the main raidinghoures is an example of that. You literaly have to put your work or rl aside for getting that contested down asap. There comes more to hardcore raiding ofcourse but that is the main difference between a true hardcore guild and a semi-hardcore (or raiding) guild.
I don't think in other guilds besides fable the mainstraim of that guild is willing to do that or has the possibility of doing that. In guilds like validus and unity the focus is raiding above anything else and if a contested pops during our raidingtimes yes we might go for it but we're not willing to sacrifice our rl or job for getting control of the contested mob before any other guild.
Imo you have four types of guilds that tackle or try to tackle raidcontent:
hardcore guild (fable)
semi-hardcore guild (validus, unity, nastrand, the vision)
family raiding guild (
Equinox, United Kingdoms, Holy Grail, Dark Haven, Evolution, Synergy, ...)
casual raiding guild (vanguard, spirit of dawnsong, ...)
Sorry if i didn't add your guild on this list or you don't like where your guild is listed (i might be wrong

) but i can't add them all, just putting them there for an example
